Broadband Retentions leaving Virgin question - Price increase

Yes and no , his double the speed was just an expression based on us being on 250mb , The contract was setup for 500mb but I had to send him proof of being on 250mb for it to be accepted. They don't even do 250mb.
So the next available package above 125 was 150 in our case.

Let's hope VM offer me something good , as I also bollocks this up , VM offered a free upgrade in Dec to 250mb for 3months and never did it .
Thing is, if YouFibre is available, then you have other options open to you.

See what other providers can offer.

Failing that, can't you just take the 150mb for £21.69 it's still an upgrade over VM and means no price rise (£3.50) in April.

True i had EE and Vodaphone available in my area.

Both more expensive.

Gonna WhatsApp them in the morning,

@Ferret.
Hi mate, you mentioned they price matched your VM bill of £20 something, did the contract email have this price on it or the standard price.
They need to see your last VM bill to price match.

Standard 500-500 price is £29.99

My first bill from Youfibre was £29.99 my second bill was £20.67 with a discount to the sum of the overpaid first bill.

Well that was crap £31 for 250mb BB only
Or 250mb £20.99 with an O2 SIM £6 total £ 26.99.
I said I only want a BB deal and they said no worries
I see and I understand you regarding the sim. No worries, it's completely fine if you don't use the sim. Simply keep it in to take advantage of the best price as this is a promo that ties up with o2.

So I'd be getting charged but no using it was the only way .

Tuesday notice goes in

You also have the monthly £3.5 price rises in April and the following April.
The YouFibre 500mb deal is probably the best deal with a speed upgrade.

I should have just put the cancellation in , she just checked and it's tomorrow not Tues when 30:days hits . So doesn't look like CS in what's app will offer anything. Last resort retentions ring

WhatsApp today I had to options
1.follow one touch switch or
2.30 days notice
Notice gone in. Offers today were worse .

Next bill they said will be £14.64 shame I couldn't use that to get Youfibre with.

How does volt work and taking an 02 SIM , yes I know they upgrade but am I stuck on a contract with the SIM card . I believe you can keep the BB virgin benefits if you leave O2 but what's the score with an actual 02 SIM contract

If you leave 02, you keep the Volted broadband until end of contract/renewal, if you leave Virmin, you keep the volted 02 benefit until end of contract / renewal.

Keep in mind, you will get hit with the annual price rise twice, once from Virmin and again from 02.

Yeah , thanks 2 price hikes , I've no intention of staying with VM
what happens to the O2 contract if I leave ? After say 2weeks cooling off or a month .

I'll be honest here I'm trying to get the best deal but going to cool off after getting Youfibre to price match .

Should of took the £26 deal and got them to override the April increase.

You won't get volt until you have been with both companies for atleast 14 days.

So you can't get volt and quit within the cooling off period (they are not that stupid).

EDIT: To be clear, I think if you took the offer, they would sign you up on the 125mb for £20.99 and then you get the £6 02 sim.

Your account will later update to show Volt 250mb, but the contract won't show it at point of sale. The renewal will say Volt 250 though, but that's 18 months away.
