Broadband Retentions leaving Virgin question - Price increase

Property Claims from the Kelly Group have agreed to pay my claim.
I only put the claim in yesterday so no messing about.
Looks like the installations could be subbed out to contractors.
@Ferret.
I forgot to mention I had two installers.
One inside and one out so I was watching the one inside lol.
Just check after they have finished as I just had a quick look and should have got down and had a good look.
But I would have never imagined they would have gone through a cable that was already there, along with some other cables in the same area.
Also they weren’t young lads and seemed pretty genned up.

They done it yet , just had a call off Youfibre 4 days left to get BF deals , not decided yet.
Yes and i get the 500 up and down and they carried out the installation to my instructions, no choice really i wa stood over him.
Didn't get a EERO though got some Arris junk, im speaking to them about that.

Rang Virmin this morning to give 30 days notice, first they said, you will have to pay early termination fee as still in contract, said nope, I AM GIVING YOU MY 30 DAYS NOTICE NOW, that means it will end on the day the contract ends (the reply was "oh yeah").

Then they said my final bill will be £64 something (i'm paying £28.28 which was £26 + the RPI + 3.9% in April), I said no I won't be paying that, as it's already paid upto the 4th Jan, so check again, they came back and said I will be credited just shy of £50 instead lol.

Asked why I wanted to cancel and told them straight, you lied and mis-sold the contract to me 18 months ago as I queried the RPI + 3.9% and was told it would not apply, they tried to argue it with me and I shut them down and said not interested, they asked what they can do to keep me and I said NOTHING, you lied i'm off that's it.

Now I just need to decide who i'm going with next.

Have you heard of or considered BRSK? They seem to be very good and I’m considering switching over to them once my current contract ends

Signed up with VM today, been with them over 25 years but got a new house so got M125 for £23 monthly for 18m.
Goes up to £54 after 18 months.
I'll be the judge of that, I'd say there's zero chance of that happening.
BRSK service grid outside my front door and every other door in the street.
VM already know this so got 'em by the nads if they start getting cute.

My 12 contracts up in March so I rang them. At the moment I pay £38 for:

100mb brand
TiVo low package mainly for free view wife's records crap
Telephone free weekend calls

I rang them and was told it would be going up to £57 which ain't gonna happen on my fffing watch.

I said cancel it, so I'm put through to retentions who offer me for £43 a 200mb (my lot hammering it) same phone same TiVo basic package.
I was just about to agree when she said, thats now for 18 months or 24. I said is that the same for new customers ?, she said I don't know which is crap. I said I'd think about it as 18 is a long time so she's made a note of the offer on my account

I want to stay with Virgin but im not paying the earth.
What do you think? Go with it or call bluff for a better deal?
Cancel and they ring you again nearer the cutoff time and lower it again
