Designed to work on all Skyboxes but ensure you download correct erom upgrade tool and firmware.
All files available from SkyBox | SkyBox
You also need the correct RS232 null modem cable and if using a laptop you will need to obtain a prolific usb adapter---all found on e-bay.

I recently updated my Firmware as my F5 Skybox was stuck on load after updating a channel list, I have managed to get my firmware loaded and the box going again. I then reloaded the channels list. I now find I cannot watch the scramble channels, when I go into setup my server says Login. I have checked my internet connection, I have re-booted my internet router and Skybox but still cannot get it to go online. Anyone got an idea of why I am unable to?

I have a Skybox F5 with I updated with a channel list, the box got stuck on LOAD. I used my laptop and updated the firmware and the channel list. I am now stuck on LOGIN, I have check the internet connection which is working I have compared all the settings with my brother in laws box. The only difference is the software. Anyone got any clues as to why I am unable to get back online?

Go to network settings ---check that your box is set for ethernet or wifi [whichever you use]
Also obtain a test line to see if theres problem with your present server.

I have downloaded this firmware upgrade for the skybox F3 and F4 please note that this firmware is for non-original skyboxes if you are in doubt then please do not use.
I have also included the RS232 null modem upgrade tool, again use this at your own risk.

1. First file is for Skybox F4
2. First file is for Skybox F3
3. First file is for RS232 upgrade tool

wen i make software receiver show lode 1toooo 97 then relode again no stop

As Reaper correctly mentioned, the answers are in this thread. I posted all the steps I took to get mine working again, I even included pics. :-) Just have to start digging down like a lot of us have.

Hi, have tried everything in this forum to recover my skybox f5s, but still cannot get past the reset screen it never says done. Am using a laptop got all the correct leads/ programs and firmware. So if anyone has anything else that may help me? If not it's going in the bin

I'm trying to recover a F3 box which don't appear any menu interface when i turn on, only appears the menu background and nothing more, any ideas? I've tried a lot of different firmwares and didn't solve the problem...

Good indication of a clone box----there is firmware for clone within this thread---have to do a bit of searching.

Have a Skybox F5S. Started looping and rebooting last night. Tried the F/W off Skybox website but keep getting 'Initialize STB sdram is failed'. Any thoughts on this one? Thanks!

Wrong firmware and erom tool.
Try a different psu before you play.
