skybox f5s stuck on load

ive managed to get my box stuck on load as i took a update from fleebay and rushed the update it was meant to provide up to date sky channel list but insteads ive started the process in the firmware update

I'm new to this forum. My skybox F3 has failed me after trying to update the channel list and now has no power! Would the fix posted on this thread work for my problem???
 
Respect to all you guys that sorted your boxes out 'cos I've been at this for ages and no joy. I've read almost every post in this thread and other threads too, but I'm more confused than ever! :/ I'm stuck on load, with an F5 I don't have a RS232 connector on my tower so had to buy a rs232 and a gender adapter. All I get with the erom is 'synchronising STBs Please reset target'. Nothing downloads. I was all excited when I saw such a detailed first post with the instructions which looked like even I could follow..... but I failed. I've lost count of the number of files that I've downloaded. A break first, then back to reading the threads.

World cup starts tomorrow and I'm gonna be on an indoor ariel!
 
My Skybox F5 simply not boot up after I download channel list. Nothing on TV screen and display. Can I use this method to troubleshoot? Anyone have got the same problem?
 
My problem was after the last channel list too and I'm stuck on load. Been trying to flash without success and it seems I had the wrong cable. Someone has kindly pointed me to the right cable. I've ordered it and waiting for delivery. Will update when I get it.

That is what mine said. I've been stuck at it for days. Is your box off before you click next and then it says the above? From what I can work out, 'reset target' is when you switch you box on.... but then what do I know, or mine would be fixed lol
 
Skybox F5 On Reboot Loop

Hi guys,

I am a new; in fact this is my first post. I have problem with my F5 box. I downloaded upgrade files from the official skybox site, upgraded and all went well. I then used AJ's TP_PROG file to load channels and that's when my problem happened. My box just keeps reloading. I have tried the null modem suggestion and just get to the 'Synchronizing STBs...Please Reset Target!' stage. I noticed so many guys had similar problem and got to the same stage at one time or the other. Please help out. Many thanks.
 
failed to open serial port

Evening,

Skybox f5 dead, tried the recovery but get 'failed to open serial port' every time
port checked on win 7
null serial cable used
what am i doing wrong?

If i cannot recover, would a blade dm5000s be better?
bets place to get one, with a gift of course?
