ummm - well its just occured to me im missing a vital part.... the null modem cable - i have a USB To Serial and a Gender changer... an i wondered why it wont work lol - well cables ordered :P

anyone know what im doing wrong ive 3 boxes that wont register

ive bricked 3 boxes via a channel update
1s stuck on loAd
1s in a boot loop
and 1s blank
 
sky f5s stuck on load

can somebody please help i am new to this, i manage to mess my sky f5s box, it is stuck in load mode

any help would be much appreciated

I downloaded the file 1st file and when I select the Eromclient to upload it says Wrong file
com port is correct and box ticked
Help please

There is an error in the tutorial. After clicking on "browse", you do not select eromclient.abs. You need to download a firmware for your particular model of skybox/openbox & browse to that.

HiTeck recently gave me control of the tutorial to correct a few things. Unfortunately, I haven't got around to editing it yet. I will do so as soon as I have some spare time.

My skybox f5s is locked on load

I've downloaded the file erom_upgrade_8Mflash and get wrong file using Eromclient abs and eromclient m3606

SKYBxx F5 _3601HD_CMT_130327.rar downloaded this start up to synchronizing STB... please reset target! did nothing

I'm using a ltop win7 64 bit with a USB converter to RS232.

dont ask me how but i added the usb serial to a null modem gender changer and its working

all 4 boxes working

Read the first post, it tells you what to do, if you still have problems, write another post with EXACTLY what your problems are, and someone will help you out, we can only read your words, not your mind, I'm afraid.
 
Hello I a new to the forum and not sure if I can post this but I have a problem with my skybox f5 s it is like it is not getting power when it plug it in it gets a faint number 8 where the letters and numbers are when it loads. I am struggling to recover it and wondered if anyone near Chorley lancashire would be able to help me out cheers

Just to add on to what I put the box kept rebooting and crashing so I had to unplug it and plug it back in to get to work again before it gave up on me
 
Hey all.

I flashed Many Box in my time, but I have this Skybox f5 here and it will not Flashed, I dont have no Clue what going on, other box flashes but nothing for this Skybox F5. There is a Light on ethernet port other than that no life. I tryed erom upgrade 8 flash and other, but still nothing. Try alot of different Firmwire and all i get each time is the STB memory error. If anyone could give me a few other Idea, that would be Great.

Hi does anyone know how long it takes when flashing a skybox f5s as mines been on synchronising stbs screen for a while now thanks
 
Just came across this on google and tried to download the file but can't even do that. Do I need to have a certain number of posts before I can download?
