Hi ,
Have just installed latest build v3, installed great, THANKS for all your hard work and great instructions. Wonder if someone could help with the following .
1. Every day without any particular reason the system suddenly displays the message - starting downloaded and goes through a process of downloading channels etc which lasts for a few minutes then the program reappears. How do i stop this happening.
2. As i have now downloaded a few films,documentaries,etc is there any way that I can put them into folders so they can be easily retrieved when wanting to view them. I would appreciate any help on this.

Thanks as always.

Its a brand new 128gb sandisk usb stick so cant really get much better. Could it be formatted wrong?

You can convert is ext4 - not at my box but try the blue button and then press up once for the drive menu

I have an old vix build on my star 2s atm with a 1tb hdd attached, I have been having issues for weeks now (wooshman tried to help with my earlier missing plugin thread) so I am planning on trying this, but I have recordings on the hdd that I don't want to lose, also I read that cross epg should be on the usb/hdd once flashed can i plug the hdd back without any issues or are there any extra steps needed.. thanks

Follow the instruction for BaseBuild and insert your hdd when told to but don't initialise your device but you can create the swap file. The carry on as per the instructions. Don't forget to make a copy of your line. You cal always put the newcamd.list or cccam.cfg file on your HDD too as the Cam importer will find it there.

Green Button -> AutoBouquet E2 Menu Button -> Schedule time, change it to whatever you want.
Then alter the time for CrossEPG too

Menu -> Setup -> CrossEPG -> Configure

From the file list button you can create folders using the menu button and move the recordings as you need to. You could also do it via your computer network or FTP.

Tried using to over write openvix-4.1.004.release-zgemma-h.2s already on box. Will not flash from any drive unless change folder from sh1 to h3 in zgamma folder. Says flash on display for while, then boot with red light before going back to flash again. Any idea's

My idea is that you are trying to flash a H2S with the 2S image. Find the right thread for your box. This is the 2S thread. My signature is a good place to start

Hi,
i just updated to the WooshBuild v3.03
but now when i try updating system software, my box freezes half way downloading. any help much appreciated thankyou
i have done the below

Updating your system software
The final step whenever you want to do it is to check for OpenATV updates. Over the air updates are safe to do with OpenATV and I do suggest you do them from time to time.

Blue button -> Software update -> Green button when list is populated.
Then when updated have been installed press OK button twice.

WOOSHBUILD V3.01 2S + USB CAM PLUGIN + BASEBUILD

***** Resolved *****

Hi there
I cannot get my Zgemma Star 2S to flash with the Basebuild. I've formatted the 4Gb Usb to Fat32 and loaded the software on to it but when I restart the device it just goes straight to BOOT (no Fash at all) and then counts all the way from 1 to 00. I have tried 3 other USB sticks all with the same outcome.
I have already built 2 x H2S devices with your other build and these worked superb so I'm at a bit of a loss here, I'm obviously doing something stupid
Already installed on this box is the Blue HD build - Virtuosso Image Extreme by the VIX team.
Can anybody help me here?
Thanks

******* Apologies but after trying a 4th USB - the smallest of them all @125mb - and also the 1st download of the basbuild it worked perfect. I really should learn to trust the MASTER and know that his shit is the best ever ******

Flashed using a Verbatim usb 3.0 store n go 8gb stick no problems, using existing Seagate mains powered hdd as i upgraded from another openATV custom image so just created a new swap file (not sure if this was required) took half hour from start to finish. Thank you Wooshman.

BBC 1 & 2 mixed up today for some reason. How do I change this? I'm in NI BTW

Look through this thread or the H2S WooshBuild thread for the full instructions on how to edit the custom_swap.txt file. This file is is the one which will set your BBC1 and BBC2.

For NI I believe you need the following

#swap local SD with HD NI
115=102
141=101
178=103
227=104
171=105

There are so many instructions done for editing this file, have a search.

Download BaseBuild for the 2S (if that is your box) and flash the box with it. Skip the initialising step, but you can create a swap file if you want to (I would) Then continue with the instructions which will download WooshBuild from the tinternet.

It is the initialising step which will lose all of your HDD contents which is why you don't do it if you already have stuff on the drive.

thanks very much ,easy when you know how!

finding it impossible to get my gift/line on this
Sorry to hear that Alan but the only way I could make it any easier would be to come round your house and do it for you.

Are you using a C:, N: or CWS = line please?

C: and N: goes in a file called CCcam.cfg
CWS = goes in a file called newcamd.list

Once you have put the line details in the correct file, copy it to a USB stick and put it in the front of the box. Change your channel to Sky 1 (should be a black screen). Now press the green button to open the plugin browser and then select the USB Cam importer.

If everything works, it will find the file on the USB and put it in right place on the box. You will see a a message that the file was copied and you should now have Sky1 showing.

If the above doesn't work it is pointing to either your internet / network connection or the line it's self. A user last night had to get a new line as his were bad lines and didn't work.

I couldn't get the line in the file now ive lost file

im using a c: line ive checked the line on testious internet is ok just struggling to get it on usb

Create a new text file on your computer called CCcam.txt

Open the file and paste your line into it.

Rename the file to CCcam.cfg and copy it to your USB stick. Then follow the instructions as per post #1 or my last post above.

If you have lost your line details you will need to contact the line provider for a copy.

Copying and pasting text into a file is basic computer stuff, so can't really help with that side of things
