You may have to use a 3rd party program to format to ext3 as for some reason these boxes are now always happy with micro SDs. Partition magic should do it. If anyone else knows of a better program feel free to post.
 
Hi i have installed latest version of wooshbuild on my H2s picture is perfect but no sound also no cam transfer plugin any ideas .
 
Whoops, school boy error from me.
Is there a version of this build for 2s?
Seen in original post it means h2s. Will it do any harm or give issues with this installed on 2s?

SOunds to me like you have flashed basedbuild and stopped following the rest of the instructions. Basebuild first, then flash online for WooshBuild Or you have installed the wrong version?

Only v3 has the USB Cam Importer plugin and the only way to get v3 is by using basebuild. Follow the instrutions in post #1 and it will all work.

No it won't do it any harm, just wont work. Use the above link for the 2S thread.
 
ok , so the good news is I have now A External hard drive working to record on , I have put my Usb in the front slot , however the EPG isn't working correctly as I only have now and next with some channel listing missing . Any help would be great

Have you initialised the hard drive? If not, put your original USB stick back in the back of the box if it isn't already and then insert the HDD in the front slot. Use post #1 for instructions on how to initialise the HDD and crate a swap file.

Once done, put the box in deep standby, remove the USB from the back, then if you can put the HDD in the rear port as it looks nicer out the way. Then turn on your box.

You will need to rescan the EPG to populate it.
 
Re H2s no sound Installed everything again as per instructions only thing missing is sound. Sound works with audio connections on back of box to sound bar ,no sound through TV tried a few HDMI cables .

Woosh, I've read most of this thread, and have a couple of comments/observations which I cant see have been mentioned before.

1) When the box is fully turned off and back on the EPG doesnt auto populate. Have to go into the CrossEPG settings and reload manually. I've now set the CrossEPG to reload automatically after a restart, so that should sort it (its a shame it doesnt do it in the background though).
2) Recorded Match of the Day last night (BBC1 HD) and half way through playback it sets the spinner going and the box becomes unresponsive, although the TV programme continues to play. The only way to get control back is to properly OFF button the box from the back. I've reset the box and played the recording again, and it does exactly the same thing again. Has anyone else seen this with recordings? I might have to do some more tests with larger recordings today to see if I can replicate it with another recording.

Press audio button. Try setting digital downmix to on if its off, or select the correct audio track.

Can anyone recommend a good USB and where to but from for the h2s
something cheap and reliable.
The ones I have won't initialise.

Marksmith I got 3 x 32gb sandisk cruzer for £20 of eBay they are £10 each in Argos which I use when flashing boxes and in the back for recording never had a problem
