Hi,
Just tried to do software update on my box and am getting same information -Your software is out of date etc,do you know if there is a fix for this?Cheers

Yes, it called the next release of WooshBuild which isn't out!

But there is no fix really as it is not broken. It is just telling you that a couple of things are out of date.

Thank you for quick response, was just a little concerned because only updated box last week.Sorry to be a pain but will it be still okay to run the updates.
 
hi wooshman, I have done step 7, and it said my n: line was added via usb, was shock how easy it was, I was on the sky 1 page as instructed but nothing changed, originally I had to do an autoscan to get the fta channels to run, so I tried this but it still gave me just the 128 channels and nothing from my n: line, I am concerned about my tuner set up if that matters? both a&b are set up as single is this correct? is there a scan or something I am missing to get my n: line showing channels? its been a long day lol, even had to format my old laptop to get the build all installed, would appreciate any time you can spare... thanks.

I have two cables buddy, one in A in, one in B in but turner config says single, simple on both by default? is that ok? have set up woosh's build no prob despite being greener than green but had to scan to get fta channels, no hd bbc/itv though and now I cant get line channels to show even after scan, followed guide easy enough and said newcamd line details added but don't know how to get them to show..
 
Currently running the wooshbuild on a star s. Although slightly of topic how does the h2s shape up? is the build any quicker + worth the upgrade?
 
Thanks Wooshman, read through the forum and threads to find my answers and i did, still learning but got my H2S up and running last night and the build is immaculate. Really appreciate you telling me off now HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. Thanks !
 
I am having a few issues with my H2S box becoming unresponsive and not coming out of standby. I think it could be a power issue as I am running things from a USB hard drive rather than a stick. Question is, can I clone the hard drive to a USB stick to test or will I have to do a complete new install?

i have a 4gb usb nd a 64gb usb working perfectly, but i have 2Tb usb that i was looking to use up for this. The box recognises the 2tb drive , i can initialise it but it refuses to mount when checking with the mount settings plugin. But if i format the 2tb to fat32 and then copy the files folders and swap over to it from a working usb , it will record and pause tv but doesn't quite work correctly, but does function somewhat, but only after exiting this error: View attachment 17305



i tried formatting the 2tb usb using the make2fs (so it becomes ext4 i think)whilst connected to zgemma box but doesn't seem to make a difference. Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion to try to get it working another way.

whoosh I've just done something stupid, I downloaded the 3.03 update to my box without my hdd plugged in so it's somewhere on my box instead. Any idea where I can go to delete it?

Chuck a spare USB into the front port and initialise it from there. Then deep sleep the box, remove HDD from the back and put the new USB in. Then test like that. If you still have problems it is not your HDD causing it. No need to clone as testing done.

As for cloning like that is beyond me. Only think I can think may do it is clonezilla. Good look on the learning curve.

If you had no USB in the box at all you would not have been able to download it as it errors complaining about you need more than 300mb available. If you did have a USB in that is where it has gone.
 
Seeing a bit of slowness when navigating through the box, loading epg etc. Get the little loading icon top left of screen.

Is this an expected delay or being caused by something? Possibly picons?
 
I have never done anything like this before and went through the instructions a few times then ordered a box and followed the steps and I have to say I've not had any issues at all (touch wood) ....... Thanks for everyone that put all this together .... makes things easy for a newbie like me.

Speed of the USB normally.
 
Is there a way to increase the speed or just dependent on how good/fast the hardware is. It's a 250gb hard drive, assume it won't cause any issues?

Very clear instructions... Newbie here worked first time. Had tried a couple of other builds but will definitely stick with Wooshbuild and Slyk - keep up the great work.
