Hi just used your guide and had my box running in about 15 20 mins this is one great build thanks, only thing is i tried to install the pic icons but the plugin wouldn't download and also the software updates download but wont install eg the cross epg one and also another one I can't remember what is was lol can anyone help ?

Hi I upgraded to 3.03 last week and tonight decided to do a routine software update. I pressed the blue button and selected 'Software Update'. 2 updates are offered and when I press green for update I get pop up warning 'Question ? - Your Image is out of date! etc etc Do you still want to update? no/yes' . This is the first time I've had this warning. Anybody else get this? Thanks

Just say that it is OK to continue. It may be picking up on the two locked plugins which I won't update as they stop working.

As above. CrossEPG and Software manager. These two are locked as if they get updated your EPG will stop working and the ability to flash future WooshBuilds online will vanish.

To always see those two in the list is normal.

newbie.....was going just great.
got to the end and had no detail in epg or any live tv.
important lesson learnt........the f-connectors have to be damn perfect in the zgemma, whereas the same connectors worked just fine in the sly box.
anyway, all sorted now - thanks hugely to the set-up guide in this thread - now just to find out what channels / on-demand services we can get and learn how to get the best from it.

On demand services - IPTV player. Portal button. Solar TV is my personal favourite.

Was looking at the IPTV plugin myself. Was in solar but every movie I tried to load said "no valid links available". Is that usual and a case of finding movies that are available or some setting I need to change?

Once she gets used to the remote and the slight difference with series link, she will like the idea of saving £20+ a month on a sky sub.

I have a friend who cannot get Solar Movies to show any content. They are on Plus Net for the ISP and I wonder if it is blocked? The only thing I can think of.

Thank you so much for making this available for Newbies like myself. It took One hour to build the first HS2 and then only 25 minutes to build the 2nd one for upstairs. I've been trying to convince "her indoors" do ditch SLY and use one of these boxes... so with the new HS2 and improved Remote and along with your build, I think I may be on to a winner here.

just wondering if any can help with this error?

i have a 4gb usb nd a 64gb usb working perfectly, but i have 2Tb usb that i was looking to use up for this. The box recognises the 2tb drive , i can initialise it but it refuses to mount when checking with the mount settings plugin. But if i format the 2tb to fat32 and then copy the files folders and swap over to it from a working usb , it will record and pause tv but doesn't quite work correctly, but does function somewhat, but only after exiting this error:



i tried formatting the 2tb usb using the make2fs (so it becomes ext4 i think)whilst connected to zgemma box but doesn't seem to make a difference. Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion to try to get it working another way.

Does anyone know what the ip address changes to after its flashed ?
i'm assuming wooshman has his set to a static ip as after it restarted i can't access it via openwebif using the dhcp assigned address.

try a simple ping tool to scan everything on 192.168.0.*(or what ever you have you home network set to) see if you can spot it might be the quickest way...

It is a dynamic IP address as per your router, I have no way of knowing what your router gives out so would never set a fixed IP.

If you open your browser and type http://zgemmah2s as long as everything on your network is working you will see openwebif.

something must have gone wrong after step 4
for some reason it hasn't restarted.
with it not displaying a picture on the tv i need the web interface.
i think i'm flogging a dead horse anyway as it looks like its a compatibility issue with the tv.

Hi Wooshman, love the build, great work, I have managed to get all freeview channels up after running a scan but not hd (BBC etc), is that normal with out a line? another quick question and sorry if its been covered but tuner config reads A & B as single? is that correct?

Initialise the dribe in the front USB port. Shutdown the box and then plug the USB into the rear port. Turn on the box. That should sort your timeshift problem. If you still get the error, check the timeshift location settings in Menu -> Setup -> Recording & Timeshift.
