You haven't initialised the USB device you are going to use for recording.

What file format is the USB stick? What brand is it? If there is nothing on the stick format it in FAT32. See how you get on then
formatted with HDd guru and windows fat32 was able to record no probs but can't update Wooshbuild it's like the box doesn't know it's there....it's probably a settings issue but don't know how to check....it's a sandisk 3.0 USB stick 28g

Anyone else getting the 'loading' circle up the top left every 10 minutes or so? Seems to be since I've updated to this version... I've removed kodi to free up some space but still happening :(

Every 15 minutes the timeshift will check for older files. If you go into timeshift settings you can increase this number to a higher value and see if that is what the issue is.

Nothing has changed on this bild with regards o any timeshift, recording, plugins etc, it is pretty much the custom_swap.txt file which has been updated.

Did it at step 4 and also tried to initialise it there after....it will allow me to record but the box doesn't seem to recognise the USB when trying to update wooshbuild

I prefer to FTP the line across using FTP manager free on my phone as I can just copy and paste it into the correct folder and I know it's there. Also not if you check in softcam in info panel that CCcam is active press yellow button to see CCcam info, go to servers and see if your connected (should be green).

Install the plugin called Dream Explorer using the green button and green button again. You will find it in extensions.

Once installed, put a USB in the front port, open dream explorer and navigate to usr/keys. In there you will find your line files: cccam.cfg, newcamd.list

Copy the line files to USB.

Then do BaseBuild as you have already :-)

Hi Wooshman, I had all sorts of trouble formatting 3 different usb sticks last night with the box not recognising any of them over and over again. In the end I turned power off put the USB in, powered up, not recognised - I then did a restart on the system and as it restarted itself it recognised the USB and began to flash. Maybe just wort noting for some people as it would have saved me quite a bit of time

That is not a Wooshbuild fault but normally a user/usb fault.
Not holding the rear power button in long enough creates the problem you were having.
If you hold it in for a while with a fully working USB drive it will turn to FLSH ithout a problem.

Hi, I wasn't trying to insinuate it was a Wooshbuild fault at all, just that it may be a common issue. A lot of people seem to have problems with usb's and not holding the power down is probably the reason a few of those times, so just worth other people knowing so they can try this first rather than formatting another stick as I did.

I did not say that you did infer it was a Wooshbuild fault.
I pointed out where this fault normally occurs.
When testing all newly released versions of Wooshbuild which involves a minimum of 6 installs by Wooshman and myself all of these things are taken into account before release. We have both been caught out by the quick button press instead of a longer hold but this is a box temprament issue as it works both ways. Neither of us have had USB issues by using trusted and reliable makes which is what catches a lot of people out.
It is difficult for Wooshman to keep adding info on the build to explain issues as he would end up writing a book and never doing any improvements/updates so he tries to limit these points.
The more you play with these boxes, then the more you learn and will soon be able to spot any issues i have found.

I appreciate that benijofar, and Wooshmans instructions were absolutely spot on. I'd never even seen a zgemma box until last night and it took me about 20-25 mins from it starting to flash until I was sat watching it. (once i'd sorted the initial rookie mistake of the usb out) As you say the more you play, the more you learn!

Hi Guys, first post. I am a bit confused with the zgemma versions. I today have bought the zgemma star h.2s twin tuner sat. Please can someone confirm this will work on this box? thanks,

Yes it will work 100% as it was built on a H2S box.

Many thanks for confirming. I just followed the instructions but can't get the box to say flsh. It always says boot and then loads into the open logo screen. I have tried 2+ usb sticks now? any ideas?

Format to Fat32, macke sure you have the correct folder structure on the stick:

zgemma
---------h3
-------------5 files

No WooshBuild folder on there, the first folder you should see when you open the USB is the folder called zgemma.
