Great build as always Wooshman..only issue i have is the EPG isnt fully populated. Can someone advise what are the settings for best updating epg and frequency and scheduling

Have you done a scan?

You can do a channel can too
Green button -> AutoBouquet E2 -> Green button -> Select yes

Green button -> CrossEPG
 
I did a backup and restore from v2.5
Thanks for advice so quickl. I have done the manual scans and tge EPG is populated great

Are the epg pdate settings within the build? I seem to remember it used to be scheduled at 3.25am or similar. What should they be to update automatically

They will update at ermmmmm 4am, no, 8am..... ermmm 12:45... hang on as one might update at 10:45. To be honest I no longer have any idea what they are set to as I changed them to try and keep everyone happy.... bad move as I changed them about 3 times.

The reason behind changing the channel and EPG update times are because those with a TV which has HDMI CEC enabled (called all sorts of different things by the TV manufacturer) the box will come out of standyby, turn on your TV and then turn the TV off and box off too.

The problem.... If you leave your box at volume 70 on the Sky Movies action channel it either sounds like you are being bombed at 4am or Iron man has just flown in though your front door.

The solution.... Change the times to suit yourself.

AutoBouquet E2 - Channel scan:
Green button -> AutoBouquets E2 -> Menu button -> Schedule time

CrossEPG
Menu -> Setup -> CrossEPG -> Configure -> In there somewhere

How do I know if my TV has HDMI enabled?
If you can turn your TV on and off using the Zgemma remote control your HDMI CEC is enabled on your TV. Or Iron man flies through your front door!
 
Thanks Wooshman. I have checked the settings and will leave them as they are. There are schedules in there.
I do have HDMI CEC on my TVs but it only turns my Amp receiver off and not my H2S

Help...the kids (ok me)have been fiddling around and now only got wooshbuild logo on start screen...please help ....tia

Only one answer to this - you can't. It comes with WooshBuild as part of the image, there is no download for it.

Hello again Mr Woosh ...
Just reflashed with version 3.02 from 3.01 (thank you for the continuing hard work) and I've got myself an issue .. I have several, but this one is zgemma h2s related :whacko:

After flashing etc, when I go in to software update, it tells me I have 2 updates available. I go through the motions of pressing the buttons to update, but it always comes back with installed or upgraded 0 packages, then if I go back in, the 2 updates are still there.

Help! ... any ideas on what obvious mistake I'm making this time? .... He says as he attempts to upload screen shots ... knowing fine well that he has probably just sent his holiday photos from Bognor!

Hello.

Just installed and all up and running but I have followed your instructions to update channel list and getting this error and box freezes, am I doing something wrong?

All working at sorted. This box is so much quicker than my free sat hd box was!
I have a couple of questions, it there a guide to series link programs as the timers are not massively user friendly and not sure the wife will be able to work it! Also, the kodi direct, is this not proper kodi? I have a pc with kodi on it which reads all files from my NAS which I was hoping to get rid of and just use this instead, will it not so that? Is kodi direct really for streaming?
If so, is there a full fat kodi plug in or the box not powerful enough to run kodi?

A massive thanks Mr Wooshman for your brilliant work and easy to follow setup, maybe I'm missing it but I can't seem to find a way to search for a program in order to set it to record, is there a search box like on sky's epg as I can't seem to find one. Thanks
 
Just a quick post..

What is the best / preferred way and tested if you are looking to use a USB flash drive along with Micro SD Card?

1. Recordings onto USB Drive
2. Swap file onto??
3. Picons, EPG, Timeshift onto??

got woosh 3.02 installed on 2 boxes today, first time zgemma user and had both installed within 40mins :)

i did make mistake of dragging full folder basebuild > first off and wouldn't FLASH until i realised i had to have zgemma > h3 >
