Broadband Retentions leaving Virgin question - Price increase

My contract is coming to an end, and I've given the 30 day cancellation notice last Wednesday. Since then, retentions called to offer my current package (250mb) for £2 less at £26 which I refused as it would go above £30 after April. They even tried to offer 350mb for the same price, but I refused again. £30 is the limit.

Since then, I've only received one email with an even higher offer lol.

What should I do from here?
why not just wait untill contract ends an sign up for new one at the prices advertised

I wouldn't, getting some one from loyalty who has discount offers still beats any new customer deals, To me NC deals don't look to appeasing compared to some of the offers stated on here.

I got 125 volted to 250 mb yesterday after a long battle. Plus stream box with 40 channels. Quite like the stream box. £25 notes.... Paul

so for broadband and phone only, what prices are you guys paying Vermin ... cheers
I pay £48pm for 1Gb broadband, 2 x Virgin 360 boxes with Sky Sports, Sky Movies, TNT Sports Ultimate, Netflix, a landline with unlimited calls and receive a £200 bill credit (making it around £37pm plus TCB if it pays out).

Don’t have phone with vm as no need but get the 250meg plus volt to take it to 500 meg and free stream box with free view channels for 18 months £20 with no price rise

Currently on 350 mb bb for £28 but nearly at the end of promotion, on my virgin account page it seems to be offering me another 18 months at the same price but with an inflation plus 3.9% increase in april 2024, so I suppose I could sign up and would have the right to cancel my contract when the price rise comes in.

Why would you have the right to cancel? Be aware people are reporting that in the new t&c that get out clause has been closed.

You only get the right to cancel when the rise in price is unpredicted! They have told you when and what probable rise is coming next year so not unpredictable!
There seems to be a new tactic all providers are using now which is contacting users 4 or 5 months before contact ends and offering the same terms plus inflation and saying it's saving you money!!

It is something ofcom need to ban.

Customers can't change the terms and conditions mid way through a contract, so why should the providers be allowed too.

Am more amazed that customers don't know of this new rip off contract and T & C. Its been like this since it was announced in Jan/Feb , with the new rises happening in April from now on. You can just see the shock on customers faces come next year when all these kick in.

I had my Email from BT last week saying that at the end of your contract in December your new monthly payment will be £47 ! Now paying £32, if I renew now for 24 months we keep you on £32 plus inflation!
Been with BT over 6 years and first time this is happening!
I phone the day before end of contract and say I'm leaving, they then offer there only for new customers £27.99 and you can usually push it for a few freebies Netflix etc or what they are giving newbies
