Broadband Retentions leaving Virgin question - Price increase

So retentions called. Took out a new contract £17.50 for 200MB. Promised by the guy on the phone it's got fixed discount for 18 months. Brilliant I said. Thank you for sorting it and giving me a pound of my previous messed up deal.

Logged onto my contract and my contract now states I'm paying £28 for 200MB and my discount runs out in July where I will be paying £50. What bunch of incompetent d*ck heads lol. You cannot make this s*it up!

They should send you a email confirming the new contract with the new price,if you dont have that i would ring them back,Your virgin account might take a few days to update
 
They have pal. Both times the contracts didn't reflect what they said over the phone. This is via Email and 'Check Contract Details' online. Both with yesterdays and todays date. Both wrong lol

Never seen £17.50 for 200mb ever 🤔🤔🤔 you might scrape 100mb for that price 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's so tedious. They do this so you get to the point you just can't be arsed. It legit takes about 45 Minutes to get anywhere on the phone. That's if they don't conveniently cut you off.

Also anyone noticed everyone sounds the bloody same at Virgin lol!

Tbh outbound retentions team you talk to different people.

They would be insane to pull such dirty tactics if they want to lose existing customers in the droves.

Call 0345 454 1111 and follow the menu to speak to the Retention team.
  1. You know that you are paying more than new customers and you'd like to be rewarded for being a loyal customer.
  2. You want to get a fairer price for your services.

Yeah Baz that's the number. First time i called got a solid deal but contract was wrong. Then today retentions called agreed an even better deal and contract was wrong lol! I'll try again and report back. I might shit them up and say when they give me the contract that this call has been recorded lol!

Glad I don’t have to fekk around like you guys do lol.
But envy the ball ache of getting through ect we have same problem for virgin mobile team

Anyone currently in contract that has been given notice your price is going up and even if you have been given notification that your price is not going up, it is my understanding that you have upto 28/02/2022 to leave the contract penalty free so this is your chance to barter!

I called today and the best I got offered for BB only on a new 18 month contract was:

100MB for £17.00
200MB for £22.00

I have opted to cancel and will wait hoping to get the retentions call with a better offer!

I got offered similar prices. Took deals. Contract was sent out to me and the discount on these prices ran out in August this year. Leaving 12 Months at full going rate. Seems like a few are offering similar prices in hope people don't view the contract after or be arsed to phone back.

Its exactly the same with car insurance policies and they just hope you dont shop around to find a better deal etc but i have a specialist policy for my car anyway so not worried about that one 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Exactly mate. If you don't check your contract within 14 days of renewal your then liable for the full 18 months. I'll stress again people grabbing deals check your contracts!
 
Outbound retentions is a clue how to get the best deals its OUTBOUND ive never ever been able to be directly connected to this office ever in all my years with them since back in the days it was Diamond cable etc.
Dont waste time on the options waiting just let them ring you because its their commision based staff's way of securing existing customers etc 👍👍👍👍👍
