Anyone use an Asus router?

Gewber

Newbie
I bought an Asus AX6000 to use with my Virgin hub in modem mode and I’m wondering if there are any settings I should consider changing for a better IPTV experience?

Thanks

There's a couple of us on here useing differant models of asus routers mate. Have you installed the Merlin firmware on yours. I've switched off 2.4 ghz and just run 5ghz runs perfect. But all my appliances run 5ghz firestick, cameras. Trial and error mate. But a mile better than super hub 3 I had.
Sure there will be more hep on the way... Paul
Have a good read up befor you attempt any changes. (y)

I don’t think Merlin is available for the model of router I have unfortunately.

I used Asus routers for years, always had them with merlin installed. It worked very well, you can add scripts to add advanced features.

One thing I would do for Iptv, if you have a dedicated box/stick just for Iptv I would setup a vpn on the Asus and route all the traffic from the Iptv box to the vpn. This way you don't have to have it running on the box/firestick.

I've moved away from Asus so I'm not totally up to date with the new features
