Blur every 3 seconds on football streams

Hi all, have been using my iptv stream for around 3 years with no major issues. I’ve recently changed internet supplier, from Virgin Media to a 5G hub with a smart (3) SIM card in it.
I’m getting speeds of 350mb down, 15mb up. I’ve noticed when watch sports or anything with high frame rate in high quality every 3 seconds or so I get one or two blurry frames, and this continuously occurs. I’m wondering if theres any particular reason for this? It can’t be poor speeds as my speed is the same/slightly faster than I was previously using.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried it with a vpn.
Does it run OK on your phone, with the 3 sim in that. I had three sim here and it was rubbish. 350 speeds are plentiful. Wot speed was your virgin. And you say this ran with no issues... Paul

I would assume this is because of the reliability of the wireless signal to the 5g node. 5g has lower range and needs good line of sight. Speeds might be good but there will probably be the odd hiccup with latency due to signal interference and wireless in general never being as good as a cable into your home causing the drop in fps and blurry frames.

From someone who tested the 3 5g home hub, I hope its not your issue but most likely is. Although you may get 350mb it's the quality of the connection not just the speed. I could not wait to change back, we had 650mb with line of site of the mast, but random drop outs, even though speedtest seemed OK were common.

I had 300-350mb on Virgin and didn’t notice this issue. It only seems to happen on ‘UHD’ streams. If I switch from that to a HD one then it’s fine with no issues.

Probably because you are putting the mast under load. HD does not require the bandwidth of uhd. I hope you can get on with your 5g connection but for me with the drop outs and the mrs working from home and getting bad glitching on video calls for work i was glad we went back. We are lucky as they are upgrading our bt lines shortly so it opens the option of other fibre providers.
