But that is probably the reason for using downloader.

I never understand why people buy these top end devices with built-in players then side load apps to use instead for ipee. If they are going to use tivimate or Im player then get a fire tv device or an android box without all the fun and dazzle.

For the built in app MyTVonline is very good.

Sideloading not a problem like side loading an IPTV app to a firestick.

Because official Apps (like the official iPlayer) do not work natively with them - more for convenience. E.g. Have MyTvOnline for IPTV and iPlayer for on demand BBC programs.
Overall, Formuler Z11 Max are one of the best in terms of replacement of a set top box (satellite or cable receiver).

The formuler isn't low end.. Nor is the Homatics 4K R box.. Both are fantastic imo.

I wasn’t implying they were and know that there not.
I was implying that some users want to run more than just iptv as mentioned in post #63 and you need more than a Firestick or cheaper device to do so.

Take no notice bud. A few on here have swapped out their shield boxes and switched to formuler showing the error of their ways 🤣

21203 - downloader.... If it gets an update it will stop working.. Simply go back to 21203 and update the app for it to get the update and continue to work.

The picture is my Homatics 4k R box, but the same applies to the formuler.

Homatics has android 14 now... Picture quality for streaming is better than my shield..

I've got an Orbsmart S87 Pro that I'm very happy with. I'm relatively new to the scene, and the Orbsmart dances to the tune I want no issues, only gripe is the full AD OS, and not AD TV, but it has it's bonuses for Minecraft and emulators.

I'm setting up a box for a family member, don't fancy MyTV3 after getting comfortable with Tivi. Homatics seems to match the specs without the MyTV. Surely the main draw Formuler is the app?

Just want a nice spec box with good connectivity, gigabit, w6, 4g RAM, that's Google cert.

Don't want to be paying import either, got spanked on the Orbsmart.

Do me a good price on a Formuler and you got a convert...
