Zgemma H7

Booting different partitions at startup is not something that could be put into an image though.
It would have to be hard coded into the box's firmware.
The only box that I know does this is the Xtrend ET8500 which allows you to boot 2 different OS at startup.

I tried to flash openpli-7.0-release-h7-20190128_usb file to 3rd part.After finishing flashing I selected 3rd image at multiboot menu.
But device is staying on booth stage.:( First part OpenATV 6.2, 2nd is Openvix 5.2, 3rd new installed openPLI 7.0.

I have to get started the device. How shall I turn to the one of working images?!

OK I have managed to flash OpenATV 6.2 backup which I taken before.
But I wonder why openpli 7.0 release failed to work.
Dear Willo flashed 15-01-2019 release. I have flashed 28-01-2019 release.Is it possible that there is difference between these two releases?

Exactly the same problem here , same three images and from cold boot (overnight powered off) the box will hang on "boot" no matter which image I start from , so I have to switch it off at the back and switch it back on and it will boot as normal and then I can swap image in multiboot, Doesn't seem a major problem maybe just a slight tweak somewhere. ( I have changed the backdrop & boot logo's which are The right size & format on the images so maybe that doesn't help the boot process. ).
 
After boot up with OpenAtv 6.2, it failed again when I restarted and I 've been forced several times to reboot through openatv backup using USB port. But at the end I tried openvix 5.2 which was 2nd image on device's flash and there is no problem at restart for this image luckely.
 
What's possible, just looking for yays or nays, incase I am looking to try something that can't be done. At the stage where I need the box running in living room, and not as a project.

Currently run openvix, internal HDD, IPTV with suls, connected to sat dish 28.2

Rewind/fast forward on iptv, do I need change setup?
Recording of different IPTV channels, is it just a multiroom I need, or more setup
Catch-up - on Kodi if I login I have catch-up section, again I have done IPTV wrong, or do I just need to do some reading on hienz/french (which I believe requires xstream)

Cheers, just getting to the stage of don't want to spend time chasing ghosts, and reflashing box every other day.

I have a vuduo for testing, but currently don't have multiroom.

Hi all

Just purchased one of these running open atv6.2 .with suls etc.
My question is my iptv provider has few 4k streams these work in open atv 6.2 very well with hdr enabled.
Now what confusing me is I have Kodi 17.6 installed with no limits build with few 4k sections . The movie plays but only audio no video. All other movies non 4k are fine .
Same build on my android device 4k same movie is fine. Which is h264 4k codes as I can see it .
The manufacturers technician has advised me it has h264 4k hardware codec. Does it have to be specific build ie Vix? Open pli. Sorry if have put this in wrong place. But some help would be appreciated .
 
Hi Guys

I am really interested in this receiver but only if it can play DOLBY ATMOS 2160p files. Anyone know or tested any files that play this. I have a file willing to share with anyone willing to test.

After long discussion with zgemma technician. H7s and h9s do not have x264 hardware 2160p 4k capability. Only h265 4k 2160p capability .As for normal hd in h264 not an issue on e2iplayer or Kodi 17.6 . With upscale to 804 etc.
So after little bit more research managed to download around 20 movies so far all x265 4k movies high Res.
All working and hdr enabled etc. psaribs. Is the place to grab enjoy. Well at least there future proof . Closest box capable of doing all this if you want all in one unit is a dinobot .peace out.
Also some my files are 7.1 that's is Atmos files .all working.

i copied a sample movie ftp to /media/hdd/movie
it plays but there is no picture

I have a zgemma h7C box ATV 6.2 with Grog Build. I am a bit lost on how to add a line as I've been told you can't use magcamd.
Can anyone recommend where I can buy a line ang give me STEP BY STEP instructions on how to add it?

I`ve been going back reading some of the earlier posts about the air digital bright light logo on the front display panel. has anyone apart from the sticky tape gang, been able to sort the Blackpool illumination light?

There is no other solution, it's a standalone led, display settings won't affect it.
The black tape is applied internally, it's not visible and tacky looking.
