Zgemma H2H crashing on boot

What make were they?
Did you format it on the PC to FAT32 before you put it in the box?

Yes I formatted them. They are generic as its quite hard to find any small usb's i'm finding.

I'll go into town later as Im now off for a few days and see if I can get 16gb Sandisk

So it turns out the first usb i used was a 32gb Sandisk. Ive now tried numerous and await delivery of 16gb Sandisk which is the lowest gb I can find in Sandisk.

Any others thoughts of what to try in the meantime?

I have asked before but you didn't answer, did you format the usbs you have tried?
They MUST be formatted (FAT32) in the laptop/PC before you can put them in the zgemma

Ok, if you put the formatted usb into the box and power it on, is the usb visible in the menu?

Enigma2 cannot open zipped files, it has to be extracted on the PC first, then the entire UNzipped folder goes on the usb.
That said, if the usb is showing up in the menu, he can couch flash it without using a PC

Yes I meant extract zip folder on PC first then transfer zgemme folder onto usb after extracting, forgot to mention that part. Hopefully the OP can do that.

Also tried pressing the button, holding the button, not pressing the button, usb in front and back - but nothing works.

I cant get into any menus on the Zgemma as it stuck on boot so I cant do anything.

Have you turned the device off from the white switch at the back first? Then put usb in back and turn box on and it should display usb press the front button on box and it should start flashing new firmware.

Yes I have. I should have said I am not completely new at this as I used to flash other boxes no issue and put lines on etc. It has just been a long time and some things have changed slightly and a few things I dont remember. Basics such as that have been done though.

When you unzip the downloaded file, it has one folder inside called zgemma.
You put this entire folder on the usb, you don't open the folder and put individual files on it, there should be only one file on the usb, a folder called zgemma

Yup done that. Within the Zgemma folder are other folders. Ive even tried changing force and noforce.

Afternoon all. Good news. I did a bit of tweaking and have now managed to re flash my box. Now all I need to try and remember or research is how to set up my FTA channels and epg and stuff.

Another question though. On an old Zgemma I used to be able to download music and films from other sites. I dont seem to have these things on my box now. Has that all been blocked?

Also whats the best way to get a skin like Slyk?

I think you mean the e2iplayer plugin which had free feeds, this has more or less finished now.

Set up freesat or freeview by setting the tuners for your area. I use ABM but it's up to you.

Download plugins menu>skins.
There's a sky type skin in there by kiddac

Make sure you mount the usb in the box and keep it in there at all times for extra memory or you will be back to square one again.

My ABM is finding nothing??! When I perform a service scan, I find 222 channels including the usual film 4 bbc1 etc. When I go to epg I have nothing. When I scan with ABM it says there is a tuner issue and it doesnt search.

What am I doing wrong. This was so much easier when I had a sky line.
