I haven't had this issue with other builds but.... I've always turned my box off at the mains at night (last two years). The last few day when I turn it on in the morning, most of my EPG is missing, and I have to re scan. Previously the EPG data hasn't disappeared - is there anything in the settings causing this? Cheers

in crossepg configure see if you have force epg reload on boot this may make the booting time longer but should work.

Is there a guide to set up with a dongle. My mum doesnt have internet installed into her house but I got her a huaewi e5330 router with pre paid data and would like to set it up for her ..Also which dongle do I require

I should like to say a big thank you for your great build and installation instructions. They are both spot on.
Before making a start I read through all posts on the thread, thirty odd pages of them so I was prepared for the odd hiccough but I encountered none.

where do i find network id on this build? trying to setup using virmin feed but the other guides use a different build, so can't find network id in this build, any ideas?

Hi Saf

I "think" you need to to install Auto Bouquet Maker from the plugins section after removing AB E2. I know for a fact you can set the ID in that.


I can't do VM so never claim to know anything about it and openly admit it.

Someone please help Saf with VM - you all know I am crap with it as I can't get it.

Right, ill try that hopefully it doesn't alteryour build to much as i was quite happy with it on satellite feed. builders have destroyed my dish hence virmin feed coming into play

Can you uninstall E2 autobouquets and use a different bouquets maker?
Would that be ok to do?

Seems to crash for some reason box goes into restart when i tried. But u can try see what happens

You should be able to yes but sometimes AB E2 and ABM don't play nicely and ABM may crash after the scan so it is a case of give it a go.

I'm using my Zgemma H2S (it literally arrived yesterday) as a freesat box with added functionality for now.

Apologies if this should be in another forum and if it should I will hang my head in shame but I can't seem to get autobouquets to only give me the freesat channels, and therefore only display freesat channels in CrossEPG. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be immensely grateful and once again thanks to everyone for advice and a great build!

There is a FTA bouquet generated for you. All you need to do is press the EPG button and use the Prev / Next button to move through them and find the FTA one.

Or

Press the TV button and select the FTA bouquet from there.
