It was my first one too, only option i had on the online flash was 3.03 or a nightly, so i selected 3.03 :)

thanks, also i have a usb with my recordings on already in, I'm using vix at the moment though, can i still use that without having to reformat it?

ok im in trouble, got to the scanning auto boutiques e2 and it finished, but it won't let me go to peg or menu, just has the no exit sign in the right hand corner? also i keep getting an error message, ​please help

ok got everything sorted apart from this error that keeps coming up? i used my original usb hdd, so didn't initialise it at set up but did do a new swap file?

Have not read all the post in this topic so, please forgive me if this have already been asked :cool:.. I've used your build a few time and they are completely awesome and so I've raved about it to a couple of friends. So my mate sent round a box he got which is the 2s but when I go to start setting it up like normal and copy the correct file to the USB drive, and then put it into the box and try to flash it, nothing happens.. Just boots and then counts up, no forced flash happens. is it maybe the USB?, does it not like the box or something?. It's the same USB I've used to set up my other boxes with your builds and it's work not a problem.. Hopefully something simple, I have tried other USB sticks but made no difference to be honest but :(..

Zgemma flash

hi all

having a problem upgrading to latest version ive followed instructions on how to upgrade online but when it gets to the end of flash it says
Error flashing rootfs system wont boot! please flash backup! rebooting in 60 seconds

Wooshman any ideas what the problem is???????

This is a new one so am stabbing in the dark but personally I would download the latest nightly build from zgemma.tv for your box: http://images2.mynonpublic.com/openatv/current/zgemmas2s/openatv-5.3-zgemmas2s-20160510_usb.zip and flash with that. You will need to extract the contents of the zip to a USB. Also, when your box says USB on the front screen, press the ittle power button once to make it change to FLSH.

If that works, start WooshBuild from scratch using BaseBuild again.

Remember to backup your settings first before you start anything (if you haven't already) and DO NOT initialise your USB at any point. In fact, remove it while you do the Nightly build, then once you have flashed BaseBuild, then insert the USB when the instructions tell you to, BUT DON'T initialise your USB stick which has your settings on.

Let us know how you get on.

Still get error but night build installs fine, if I can't get to install were can I download the older version of wooshbuild

Menu -> Setup -> Recording & Timeshift -> Timeshift settings

Now change the location for timeshift to the USB Device you have plugged into your box. As the device is initialised it is just looking in the wrong place normally.

Thanks for getting back to me, it won't let me change the settings, if I move the direction button, an error message pops up, then I'd I press on the time shift location, it comes up with another page but I can't alter anything on that either? I've disabled time shift temporarily, but do want to be able to pause rewind etc, so would prefer a fix. Must be something simple, I'm so happy with everything else though, thank you

It is not a fix you require, it is your box configuring to work with your stick.

So if you highlight the location and press the OK button to select it what happens?

thank you wooshman, i ended up putting my 1T toshiba hdd in and initialising it instead, thought id start with everything fresh and it works perfectly now. thank you for your help and easy to follow instructions. if i can do it ( mature lady) anyone can. now to purchase more boxes for my other rooms and put this build on them all.👍👍👍👍

Hi i have gone thru all that with no joy..the line was working before i done this new upgrade but not working any more..i went into ccam info i could see the line details but the the premium channels are not working..

The upgrade won't have done anything to your line. The other thing to try is to remove anything that is in the usr/keys folder using Dream Explorer from within plugins, but don't delete the mg_cfg file, that needs to stay there. Then you can use Dream Explorer to copy the file from USB to usr/key an restart the cam.

Did you copy and paste the line details or is it the same file from the old setup?

HI Im still having the same problem after inputing the line and its says its been copied but sky1 and all others aint showing..Can you help as its driving me crazy since yesterday....

Having trouble putting the line on as i have been used to using filezilla, iv followed your instructions but doesnt seem to be working i have both Ccam.cfg and newcamd - put them both on usb followed instructions i didnt get an error msg but no sly channels.. first time using your build so its a little different to the soft panel im used to - i have ccam 2.3.0 and mgcamd_1.38r1
on my last build i dont actually remember the ones i had but i defonitly had mgcamd 1.38 i just dont recognise the "r1" do i need need anythin else? iv tried restarting and refreshing them both but still no channels?

Remove the file that you do not need from the USB. Then run the USB Cam Importer

I'm looking to set a new box up from the manufacturer with your image, this will be upstairs so no ethernet, ill get a skybox wifi dongle, but need to know at what stage through the process, can i install the dongle and set it up before i can do the online flash?

I do like to try and satisfy a mature lady at every opportunity if at all possible. But as you are only a couple of years older than I am, that must make me a mature man..... not sure my mental age is anything to go by though.

OK, so a 5 or 10 metre network cable from Toolstation or Screwfix for around the room which would plug in from the plug to the box in the bedroom and a 1 metre ish network cable from the router to the home plug.

Yes, this would still needed to be setup before you Flashed online, but they do just work. Plug them in to the wall, plug in network cables and that's it, your box should be ready.
