OK, sounds like how I was thinking then. A carrier can transmit more than one broadcast by differentiation in signal polarisation (eg horizontal or vertical plane); I was aware this was 'a thing' with sat/LNB, but I had absolutely no idea it was implemented on enigma2/zgemma. What a pleasant surprise! :)

Any idea why sometimes if I try to pause or rewind, I get a no-entry symbol in the corner? I can't seem to provoke it by doing anything in particular, it'll happen when the hard drive is doing nothing else (i.e. no records running); I'm not getting any warnings about timeshift. If I tune the next channel and come back, it'll likely (whenever I've tried up to now) pause just fine (but of course there's no real buffer for rewind as I've just retuned).

I'd be eternally grateful for some clues on that one! :)

Hmmm a new one as far as I am aware. I will press some buttons tomorrow and see if I can make it happen on mine.

I think I've figured out how to reproduce it. Well, I've figured out one way to reproduce it. Certainly it'll happen when returning to TV from a playback; timeshift buffer recording doesn't restart after returning to live TV until a channel zap (or I'd imagine, next EPG event). I guess this is something that'd be classed more as a quirk than a bug; work-around-able at any length - zap back and forth after playback and it'll be fine.

If I discover it doing it without a return to live from playback, I'll post again.

PPS> Thought a bit more about my polarisation theory; I guess things are in fairly tight multiplexes on the satellite these days, given all the retraining to allow more space for HD streams. Anyway, whether it's by polarisation or multiplexing, I'm very pleased to find the Zgemma exploiting the full technical possibilities; unlike those mainstream DVRs (though I suppose that helps sell many-room and their expensive new letter of the alphabet!)

Hi Wooshman. A massive thank you for all your efforts with the build. All set up running smoothly on our H2S with a recommended server. Had to use a friend's Windows computer as the files are not Mac friendly but once that was sorted everything was good. Going to advise the family on doing the same. Thank you very much again.

JohnJohns, quoting a random post and then asking the same question I answered directly here a few weeks back means you either don't really care what the answer is or you think by asking the question in a slightly different way may change the answer.

Just in case you missed my answer to your own question though, here it is again:

The USB Cam Importer is not available as a standalone plugin on any platform let alone Vix. What's more it won't ever be available as a stand alone plugin because I am tight and selfish.

It wasn't available as standalone the first time you asked and still isn't. It is part of WooshBuild and it isn't downloadable from anywhere.
 
I'm new to this world of the zgemma box, and I am after some advice, sorry if it may seem a simple question...

Just had a new zgemma h2s box and flashed it with WooshBuild v3.00 it goes through the flash and boot and then it seems to be stuck on a screen just showing the WooshBuild logo and saying 'Your First Step For Easy Flashing'

any ideas why it is stuck at this point?

i am able to scroll through menus, and f0und service scan so running through that at the moment. I did notice that only tuner a appeared in the list and no tuner b?

but when I go on the menus it looks nothing like the images at the beginning of the thread and says openATV instead of looking like the sky skin. I'm assuming that it hasn't flashed at all, and I'm not sure why...

Hi after updating to the latest wooshmans build v3.03 after the box reboots is that everything done or do you need to restore your settings like it states in the instructions does that take it back to v3.02

Thanks for this - managed to get it set up in 10 minutes, no issues at all.
Only question I have is with the EPG itself -

1) Is it possible to tell what programs are scheduled for recording in the future?
So I can see that I have got Match Of The Day set up to record on Sat, and Game of Thrones due to record on Sunday next week?

2) Is it also possible to set it up to record on a series link from the EPG? (Ideally I'm after setting up Game of Thrones on series link so that I only have to record it once and not have to remember to record it every week!)

Hello may have missed it these pages if so I apologise. I just followed all these and it went perfectly

But I'm trying add a c line and an n line to the Softcam set up and I cant upload more than one they overwrite is there a facility to manually add them ?

Or what have I done wrong ?

Whole new build from scratch today latest full woosh, v good.
 
Just wanted to add my thanks to Wooshman (and Kiddac) for creating this build. As a complete newbie, God knows how much time and grief you guys have saved me!

Thanks for the build Woosh was able to set up my new box quickly

The only issue is that my CCcam details I put into the file dont seem to work, the box says its loaded them but its not working, I have checked the details in the softcam panel, but not sure what to check. I have a friend who got the cline from the same person and has used your build for his Gemma box and it works ok so maybe need to check what he has done.
 
When you go into softcam panel , you need to make sure cam is set at mgcamd 1.38r.
press the green button to restart cam and if set up correctly then the scrambled channels should work.
