WilloBuild WilloBuild OpenViX 6.7 Series

You can only flash slot 2 from USB afair.
Image manager always flashes slot 1, whatever you put in as target partition.
Multiboot is different on ET8500 compared to modern boxes.

The updater only needs to be run after an online software update or you have restored your own settings backup to a clean flash.

I did an online software up date and then I lost the info for the fta channels so I thought I would run the abm but I was getting a can’t read data message afterwards so I then ran the Willo updater

There's nothing in the updater that will affect either ABM or EPG.

You didn't answer about how many devices you have.

Can you please issue this command using Putty/Terminal and post back the results. Might be an idea to use the windows snipping tool.

Ok thank you. I’m doing it now but it says it fails I tried a few times so I shut the box down. Unplugged it and plugged it back in and now it’s not showing at all. Do you think it’s faulty. It’s been plugged in for quite a few years

I’ve moved it to the upper rear usb and it’s now showing again but it fails to mount. Is it worth formatting it and starting again. If so could you tell me how to try it. Thanks

Are you doing this with Receiver running? Is the HDD have its own power supply or is it drawing power from USB port?

As it is an external device, Try following:
put receiver into deep standby, wait 30 second
Remove the storage device, leave it out
Switch receiver back on
Put it into deep standby again
Connect the HDD again while receiver is still off
Power on
Check that it's mounted
