hey trying to install v1.4 over v1.3 but getting error messages. tried uninstalling v1.3 to then install v1.4, no luck. then uninstalled the files that were clashing, still no luck. now when i try to install v1.4 i get this message -

"opkg_install_cmd: cannot install package enigma2-skins-.skyq."

i've rebooted loads of times and ftp'd the ipk file over to tmp a few times also.

any ideas anyone? cheers

Try extract the ipk file using 7zip and ftp them manually to the right location..

I did the "opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk" thing and when I do a " opkg list-installed | grep -i enigma" I now have "enigma2-skin-skyq - V1.3" and a "enigma2-skins-skyq - V1.4"

skins not skin for the new version

I ran "opkg remove enigma2-skin-skyq - V1.3" and "opkg remove enigma2-skins-skyq - V1.4"
then reinstalled 1.4

will let you know how I get on

Yes...try unistall v1.3 as the ipk has a diffrent name. I think thats what has been clashing...skin and skins..

used opkg to remove 1.3 and 1.4 then reinstalled 1.4 looks ok - will let you know how i get on

I got this when I used one of the downloaded vix images decided to do a complete fresh install and added skyq 1.4 which did the trick, hope this helps you out
 
will this work on hdmu image if i put on my amiko alien

i applied the skin and once i reverted back to my normal skin it wouldnt show full tv just a little box in left corner and other is black why is that

With hdmu and alien there are different locations where the skin folder should be.

Unless you know where the Skin folder goes, it wont work

ive tried it on atv and when i change back to normal skin theres only a small box on left with tv on the rest of tv is black

Something is wrong when you installed it. Remove skin and install it again..

Got bored and thought I would give it a shot as im on autoE2 is there a quick way to add the numbers on to the preview names or do I have to go through every one to get them to show up. Im just lasy lol, if some one has already converted them could you post your files to save me some time thanks.

Someone posted a quick way of converting them using E2 in previous post like 3 or 4 pages back.

hi i am trying to install on new zgemma when i download from dropbox link theres no idk file just a file with PNG am using mac how can i get the IPK file to FTP on to the box please?
