Hi, Ive installed but EPG tabs missing on mine. Im running ATV 6.3 and Woosh Infinity on a Xtrend ET8500. Any assistance would be gratefully received.

installed this on a friends box last night , and works great tabs all working too

Download the the .py file:

EpgSelection.py

Put in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens/

The restart your box

To get the tabs to display:

Menu - Plugins - ChabsSkins - The choose Sky Tabs Default or Sky Tabs Alternative

Press Green to save and Yes to restart the box

I am gud mate...hp same with u...I hardly come only these days but I do come and read here n there 2 see wots happening...been doing skinning off line tho...trying to convert all the skins 2 1080p.

You need to extract the EpgSelection.py file .rar file attached.

ftp: /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens/

Rename the EpgSelection.pyo file in there to EpgSelection-new.pyo

Then COPY the extracted EpgSelection.py to:

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens/

And restart your box

Then you need to go 2 Chabs Skins Plugins and select either Chabs Tabs Default or Chabs Tabs Alternative and press yes to restart your box again.

You should have tabs working...

skyNEW Skin has been updated and uploaded to Version 2.008 now.

Nothing major, just added few screens, sorted the old issues in the skin and Chabs Skins Plugin, and also changed a few things in the Top Picks thanks to @wooshman

You can update the skin using Chabs Skins Plugin or woosh Build Infinity

@Chabs , I have a question is it possible to add skynew skin to enigma settings backup so that when I do fresh install I can restore settings with skynew skin I have also added EPG Tabs Selection, and MOVIE SELECTION settings.
I have looked in Software Manager\ Select additional backup files, in usr\share\enigma2 there is chabs-skins folder
also looked in usr/lib/enigma2/python/screens
and usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions/ChabsSkins

You cant back up the skin with back up settings as it is not on github and also the custome python files cannot be backd up as any flush or restore options will bring the image's original python files.

The only way 2 do it is to completely back up ur image and settings.

@Chabs, when I used your skins on whoosbuild you when on EPG screen you could page up and down nowusing openatv with just your sky new skin that button does -24 hours and +24 hours epg you have to pres 0 and 8 to page up and down but onscreen it shows yellow button for -24 hours and +24 hours EPG. Are there any adjustments that can be made to get it back to page up and down on epg like before on whoosbuild.

Menu > setup > VIX > Iplkg install
memory/tmp
Press ok on the package
press green to install
Reboot Your Box

hi mate, very sorry to bother you but i really like your Sky NEW skin Infobar Screen Alternative i ve been using for long time ON ATV 6.1 WB, now ive got a new ZGemma H7S ATV 6.2 and i would like to use your skin, its installed but would like to change it to SkyAlternative which keeps crashing everytime trying to change from plugins. can you please guide how could i forced to change..

6.2 firmware has been out over 4 years so update it to the latest 6.5 or nothing will be supported soon

Thanks for your suggestion mate as long as the SkyNew skins Alternative works but it doesn’t. So far I ve noticed that this Skin Alternative option only works on ATV 6.1 WB but still if i wanted to change it from Chabs plugins option, its crashes.... Ive tried the Chabs option on thread #525 but the box stuck on Boot loop....

Does anyone know if there been any progression with getting the epg tabs for the latest openvix?

Really frustrating that openvix have changed all their epg files.

I'm not aware that anyone is attempting to progress the EPG tabs. It's not a feature of any of the main images as far as I know.
The EPG tabs would only work on certain skins anyway so if it was introduced it would mean that all the skins would need to be changed.
You will either need to stick to an old version of ViX and use the hacked epgselection.py or get the skinner to code epg tabs into the new files.
The latest ViX EPG is far more configurable than the old one and much better imho.
