I've had a Zgemma H7 (C) in my case, not had a problem with it, not top of the range, but I'm ok with it. H7S going for about £100 to £120 if you can afford it.

Zgemma H7s

That box for sale you mentioned above is older than the one it's replacing, not worth a carrot.

The H7S will handle freesat, freeview and iptv easily if you like sports, movies, on demand TV etc.

You'll get one on ebay for about £50 or you can get a new one for around £100

It's 4K and has a fast processor

I found a New H7s online, with the option to include a hard drive.
Will my hard drive on my box at the moment retain all its recordings when i attach it to the new box, or will i loose everything when setting up
Also new box comes with the option for openATV Nightly Build or OpenVix latest version pre installed which should i get Please

Provided the HDD is the same physical size, you can install it and teh recordings will be picked up. If it is an external HDD, then the size obviously doesn't matter.

With regards to the existing receiver, it could be a bad solder joint. Will you be putting it in the classifieds?

Its an External drive, as for the classifieds didn't really think it was worth anything

Ask him if he will sell it to you abu cheap its worth nothing as it is.

He is superb and yes he can repair them Ask abu to teamviewer you and setup your new box it will be perfect.

This is getting ridiculous I have a zgemma h2s no remote I have used that to replace one for zgemma h9 combo was going to keep power supply ,
you can have it saves me putting it in the bin , no payment just postage.

Personally I would have went with the zgemma H7s
