no havent done it yet i didnt know what setting timmers was, so pushed the recorde button , but didnt know what option to choose

We need to rule out software issue, So yes, please reset everything, It won't delete anything on your Hard drive.

No hdd is still in its external nothing else plugged in.
do i need to remove the hdd for factory reset

No you don't, but I want to try something else if you can't perform a complete factory reset. Would be nice if we could see the options you are selecting.

If you can't reset, Flash the box again. When it completes flashing, before it reboots, remove the HDD. That way there is nothing to restore.

Afternoon guys have to give a massive thank you to everyone who has tried to get my box back working… after five half hours last night, and the box being so worn out remote not exactly super active I think it would be better to replace it

I don’t want to spend a fortune just be able to record and watch FS channels with a sly skin
Could some please tell me if the ZG STAR 2S would be ok, just seen one with open ATV 7.3 installed last week for sale at reasonable price
