Choppy playback

Have you tried another app on your Firestick and what gen is the Firestick?
What are the channels like without the VPN connected?
So, here's an odd thing. I've got an old 2nd Gen Fire Stick plugged into another TV. I've installed Tivimate on it and tried to play the FHD channels and they work fine. It's connected to the same WiFi as other Fire Stick. Does that suggest that there's a setting on Tivimate that's at fault?

You could swap the Firesticks over to rule out Wi-Fi interference in the location where you are having issues.
Also in settings go to playlist click on your playlist and then click extream codes parameters and click output format and check they are same on both devices.

Ok, I think I've fixed it now. I swapped the sticks and the old one worked fine. So I noted down the settings on Tivimate and compared them. It turns out that the video decoder was set to software not hardware on the newer stick. I've changed it and it seems to be working fine now. Thank you all for your help and advice.

Didn’t think to mention that but I always use hardware over software on the streaming media apps I use.
At least you have it sorted.

I cleared the cache and it had no effect. My connection speed is 148Mbps with a VPN connection. The HD channels seem to ok when I play them on my phone with the Smarters app.
You cannot compair your mobile phone to a firestick most mobile phones are more powerfull if you know what I mean.
