Have a look into real debrid(rd) with the likes of stremio(series and movies) or if it's for sport specifically there are a couple of decent Kodi addons that upload the race, ppv pretty quickly.... some of these again require rd
 
Thanks to you guys for pointing me in the Real Debrid direction. It was a worthy rabbit hole, absolute game changer!!
Sitting here tonight watching an amazing quality 60GB 4K HDR Atmos Buu Ray rip, and it loaded instantly.
Stremio integrated with Real Debrid & Trakt has made a pretty amazing VOD setup. Start watching downstairs, continue upstairs or on mobile, curated watchlists and recommendations.
Media Fusion integration also gives a simple route to watch the F1 races in gorgeous 4K with (the only catch being it's not live). Kudos to the open source team that did this.

Welcome to the good life! Some additional add ons that could serve as a backup when Torrentio may be down include Annatar RD, Knightcrawler RD.

If you find some Remux files with Dolby vision not playing it is down to the internal ExoPlayer that Stremio uses as ExoPlayer can’t play Dolby vision profile 7
I also found issues with Dolby True-HD 7.1. codec.
Lots of Remux movies files not available as well.
There is another rabbit hole for you if you fancy a peak.
 
That explains the black screen with sound I was seeing on some of the larger files. Hadn't worked out what was causing it yet.
Yes, there's always a new rabbit hole. 😆

Nice , works on my my phone with RD acct.

Synced apps and loaded on LGOled TV , file cannot be recognised.
Shame sky sports all in here too

I have just tested the scrapers and they are pretty decent but a lot of the Remux files will not play with the internal ExoPlayer and you need to use Kodi as the the External player and it needs to be configured correctly.
I use Kodi Nightlies beta version but the playstore stable version should work.
If anyone wants my settings let me know.
Here is how to install Annatar and Knightcrawler.
I used a pc with Stremio installed on it and my browser
First get RD api key from here
Real-Debrid: All-in-one solution

Then go to this Annatar link
Annatar - Lord of Gifts
and add your RD API key and click install and Stremio should open and you will be prompted to install.

Then go to this link is for nightcrawler. KnightCrawler | ElfHosted - Stremio Addon
Pick RD from the drop-down menu then add your RD API key in the box that appears then click install and Stremio should open up and you should be prompted.
 
So are you using Stremio but opening the video files with external player then selecting Kodi player? Or using Kodi 100%.
Yes, info on your settings in Kodi would be very useful.
Tell me, do your videos in Kodi continue where you left off or does it start at the beginning each time.
And when you finish watching something, do you have to close Kodi, then reopen Stremio.

Yes you have to choose that option.
The problem is that resume doesn’t work or trakt using Kodi player with Stremio.
The only vod app that works correctly using Kodi as an external player is Syncler.
But when you stop media you have to go to the VOD app manually.
I just have Syncler in favourites in Kodi and it takes me straight back.
You only need Kodi if you want to play 1:1 Remux files.
If you are not bothered about that then just pick a stream that Exoplayer will play.
A great option is to use Fen light and CocoScrapers Kodi addons. Then you have no transitions between apps.
There is a guide posted on the thread Tv shows post #10.

The Fen Light and CocoScrapers set up is clean and fast and the quality on the best Remux files on the Kodi player is impressive. Not seen that without a physical copy before.

I know this thread went slightly off-topic. But it's been a nice little journey and a real eye-opener for me.

In CocoScrapers settings Torrents I have just enabled BitSearch MAGNETDL and Torrenttio which speed up scraping and it seems to find most content without the need for some of the other scraper enabled.
In Fen light settings results
I have set Retry with all scrapers when no results to auto.

It has gone off topic but you probably have gained from it.
 
Do you still need to keep up with the latest addons with stremio besides torrentio, and the few that are mentioned? I use Plex so everything is downloaded from private trackers/Usenet before playing but this reminds of the early Kodi days with new addons everyday each scrapping a few different file hosting websites and compiling the results before playing. Mostly looking into this as a backup option.

I don’t use Stremio because of the issues I mentioned regarding Exoplayer not playing 1:1 remux files
I literally use one Kodi VOD Addon which is Fen light the Coco scrapers program add on.
The FENtastic skin does look better than the default one, but you don’t need to install it if you don’t want to.
I also use the Kodi key mapper addon to change what the back button does during playback so that when I press it, it stops the media.
I also change the ok button in playback so that it pauses and resumes media.
Also the Kodi backup addon
to save all my settings or if I wanted to move it to a new device.
