Guide A guide to the best boxes for IPTV 2021

Thinking of moving away from Amazon’ i bought a fs 4K max 2nd gen during bf sales’ after seeing and reading up about amazon moving away from android to they’re own Vega Os what are the chances of it coming to the current new devices as far as i know it’s already on the new echo show 5 some people have said it won’t happen on current devices and others have said it’s possible. Here is an interesting post from one of TDUK vids on YT “Personally, I wouldn't put it past Amazon for a second. ARM chips and chips built for the RISC instruction set are VERY easy to migrate from Android to a custom Linux kernel, especially if the the device contains onboard EMMC, NAND or sometimes even EPROM memory. And they've been in a nasty turf war with Google for YEARS. Remember, this is the same Amazon that suddenly pulled naitive YouTube support from their devices completely with zero regard for their users and customers and coined the term "Ad-supported devices". Eventually, they're going to switch so they don't have to pay Google per-device and they'll want a uniform, seamless and across-the-board rollout for all existing and future devices”

Android 9.0 TV Box 4GB RAM 32GB ROM, Upgraded X96 Max+ Android Box Amlogic S905X3 Quad-core 2.4G + 5.8G WiFi Bluetooth 4.0 4K 60fps HDR Support
https://amzn.eu/d/4QBHNY3

Would this suffice for iptv and also looking at flashing a slimbox img & maybe running CoreElec alongside a micro sd dual boot?

With a slimbox rom it will be spot on but i would try to find something with the S905x4 or the new s905x5 chipset.

I bought a Tanix X4 with the S905X4 chip for about £40 from Aliexpress. Got slimbox running on it and it hums along nicely.

Might be worth a look?

Do seem like a decent box do they’re come with a gigabit Ethernet port’ i have had numerous tanix boxes in the past one was the TX3 max and the other was a TX6

I would suggest the Nokia Box 8000 or 8010. A bit more expensive but you get updates and a nice remote.

Yes the 8010 does look like a decent contender nice specs too
Its around 150 euro for the 8010 though if you can find one expensive for the spec, and it is basically a Homatics box 4k +. The 8000 is pretty low on spec.

I have read that the Homatics box has some playback issues with local video and srt files. Also, the remote is different. Besides that, they are quite similar.

Amazon in the Netherlands sells the 8010 for 110 euro.

Hi guys, just on Aliexpress can anyone recommend a decent android box. My firesticks started to slow down a lot now and becoming unusable so fancy a change.
Would like a decent performer ideally something that's much better than the firestick.
