Maybe. But nobody has beat sheild and that is 2019 box. I suppose if they work. If you go budget you can't expect miracles

Hi All, I'm new to IPTV, I've been advised that IPTV works best with dedicated hardware, after doing some basic research it seems that the top 2 are Formuler z11 PRO MAX and the Nvidia SHIELD TV Pro

Any opinions on which device to go for, for pure IPTV use?

You don't really need any of them two if your using it just for that, get yourself something like the Nokia 8010

Never used a Shield, but have two Z11’s. They are superb boxes. Buy the BT1 edition if it’s in your price range. The remote is excellent.

Yeah I've just saw the price on amz for it, mayswell get that, price has dropped from when I got one but I did get the formula when it 1st came out

Did you buy the box and the remote separate?

Price was £140 last week for the z11 pro max and bt1, gone back up to £149 now

I'm considering replacing another GCCWGTV stick.

I recently bought a Tanix X4 Amlogic S905X4 box as a replacement and I'm happy with it, would you say the Q8 is a better buy?

Yes it has a built in IPTV app similar to the formulers, Q8 call it CherryTV. Specs and chipset say its going to be decent.

The only issue is the same as any other box from China youll be lucky to get updates, never bothers me i just use scene roms Slimbox usually.

I like slimboxtv on my Tanix x4 so I'd definitely put it on another box.
