Fantastic guide. so so easy
i spent hours setting it up myself in november, never had record or decent tv guide

finally got a 2tb hard drive yesterday and used this guide

Open them using notepad. Windows "should" ask you what you want to open them with - choose notepad

Anyone else experienced this. Box is running fine, gets the odd freeze then completely freezes or screen goes dark and wont respond to the remote control and green light stays on. Only thing I can do is to switch off at the back and back on. I have tried 3.02 and even re-flashed to 3.01 form scratch and still get the issue happening. Reflashed a few times. Have also tried different usb sticks too.

Wooshbuild does not control the iptv content after my initial revamp of them.
If gold movies was in your initial build when there were numerous non working icons then it was deemed to be of no value.
It may now be a working channel and i will check it for the next list update.
I did notice one missing after the last iptv update which we have no control over.
If you wish to see if it is still in the listing then find xrysoise by menu/plugins/iptv player/services configuration and turn it back on.

I have had the blue circle and freeze up.

I generally record to a network drive and use a USB in the back for the epg and swap file, so there isn't a great deal of data moving back and forth to the USB and so speed shouldn't be a big factor.

Also happens mainly when doing the auto records.
Was using a Sandisk Ultra Fit 32gb (USB2.0) - have changed it to a newer version of the same USB but a 64gb 3.0 and getting the same results.

Will try turning time shift off and see if that makes a difference although its a neat feature that I don't really want to lose.
Odd thing is I didn't get it on the original v1 build though, only since updating to 3.02.

Perhaps when Woosh is comfortable with the latest open atv it might cure this and other random (non build related) bugs, I might get brave and try to create my own version but I know it woudl be cr@p compared LOL

Only issues I am having @ 9th April v3.02 of Wooshbuild.

1- The channel line up fine except bbc Alba on 102. I reloaded the autobouqets e2 plugin and then redownloaded the cross epg.
Think that's a issue elsewhere, not for Wooshamn to fix though?

2- noticed I get a few freeze ups on box which jam it totally versus an earlier build. Might be only affecting a few users though and not everyone.

Otherwise , this is spot on - wouldn't expect anything else though, as usual the build and setup guide is spot on

I'm experiencing the same as you today. Everything fine except BBC 2 HD is on 101 and BBC Alba on 102. Will leave it for now though til the channel changes settle down.

I am also experiencing some freezing that didn't occur on previous builds - spinning blue loading thing, usually lasts a few seconds before jumping to whatever you have selected.

Finally got around to updating my swap file. Thanks for the list on page 32 Wooshman. Was sorted in 30 seconds with a copy and paste job. For others I just used my laptop and connected to my box via the network and replaced the file as Wooshman suggests.

On the freezing issue. I disabled timeshift and the box hasn't freezed up for a couple of days (well whilst I've been using it). This would point to it being my USB flash drive perhaps sometimes being slow. However, this never occurred in previous builds and I haven't changed the flash drive since I started using the wooshman builds. It's a 128gb sandisk which I always trust. I even have less stored on it now too. Not a biggy, as it only occurred 3-4 times and lasted a few seconds so didn't get that annoying. Just thought you would like to know this has only occured on version 3.02 for me. Been through all the settings for each builds and can't really see what else has changed that would cause it.

Got a security question. Whooshman's brilliant build gives us a Linux system running sshd, the Secure SHell Daemon - an absolutely standard service on all UNIX-like machines. BUT everything we do on the H.2S is done by root (the principal admininistrator) and root has NO PASSWORD. Therefore anyone getting past the home router firewall has instant access to the H.2S with an ssh client program such as Putty. Does the Enigma 2 operating system have some configuration which mitigates this means of attacking the machine? (Though I cannot think how it might do so.) Bit perturbed.

BTW Not got my H.2S box yet. Spent all day reading the whole thread here (though I can't say I've absorbed everything). Still in awe of the build mind, even though I've not used it yet. :)
