Viark VIARK TYPE BOXES

Get a second LNB and just gaffa tape it to the right of your current LNB on your existing Sky dish. You can also get a 2-way diseqc switch from Amazon for a couple of quid.

I did this during lockdown in 2020 and managed to pull it 19.2 and 28.2 off a Sky zone 1 dish. The second LNB pulls in about 60-70% signal on 19.2.

I'm in South East England, so your results may vary depending on where you are located, but it's a simple bodge job if you just want to get 3pm football from Sky Germany!

I dont understand i thought the dish had to point to the frequency to get reception. Anyways can anyone please answer my questions regarding converting a normal dish into a proper motorised on where the dish actually moves between 16- to 28.2?

The dish has to point to the Satellite you want to get channels from. For Sky UK (Astra 2) this is 28.2 degrees East (of due South). Sky Germany is on Astra 1 which is 19.2 degrees East. The second LNB on the picture above is offset which is how you can receive multiple satellites from one fixed dish.

As far as I'm aware, it's not possible to motorise a zone 1 Sky dish without significant modification as the bracket is not standard. I don't think you would pull in many satellites on a small dish anyway.

I believe yes a sky dish can be motorised but there is some messing around to get it to work. Its to do with different brackets and getting the dish to mount to the motor. I got most satellites when i played about with a ground mounted one years ago. With regards to dish pointing at a satellite if you add other lnbs either to the left or rights of the existing lnb you can pick up signals from other satellites as they reflect off the dish at different angles.

Looks like GT media down again, all channels white☹️
Switched on my GT media this morning to check and i confirm everything is online and working
UK All fine expect TNT as it remains R.I.P sadly .
have you tested your box since ?
if still down today then the issue is user Error on your side i suspect ?

I'm wondering if people are leaving their V8's on when not being used, ours wasn't clearing channels the other day and we had to power it off and back on.

I’ve found this with all these types of boxes. I always take the power cable out when not using as I feel like it’s fresh then.

Always had issues when it’s been left on for a long period of time.
