I have the issue on the original viark sat, i know the same issue is occurring on some gt medias as well.

Right just made a recording of TNT and Eurosport no issues on the sat 4k.

I'll fire up my V8 now and see if that has any problems.

No problems on the V8 either mate with timer recordings.

Maybe take a look at the device your box is recording to it might be on its way out.

It's not the HDD, as this issue only pops up when I'm recording encrypted channels, all FTA work totally normal.

I have encountered the same issue when timer recording from standby on both v8 and sat 4k. If they go into standby from a diff channel to the planned recording it fails. If it falls into standby from the planned recording channel it will work. Defo seems related to having to switch channel for the planned recording.

I'll try that out this evening, tests i made and stuff i usually record id be setting the timer on the channel of the recording and leaving it there. So could be why im not spotting it.

Yeah works fine if you leave it on the same channel. Just fails if you need to record multiple programmes on encrypted channels while not at home.

Your right mate.

Just set up some tests as you have described and it failed to record. Only tested V8 so far.

Ends up displaying a message

Yeah think it’s just a bug. Good fix though by danil which isn’t much of a faff so 👍🏻. Happy with that.

Yep same message or similar on Viark Sat. Hopefully gets fixed as at some point this bug didn't happen? We'll see.

So had a go with my Sat 4k and i have no issues with multiple recordings from multiple encrypted channels.

Each recording was set to go in to standby after completion.

I will give it a go tomoz see what results I get on the sat 4k. Tbh I generally just use the new ‘replay’ addon on the v8 uhd works bit like catchup.

No there is a new icon next to some of the channels. Think you just need to be on the channel and press play button when in the channel list. Bit of a game changer for me. Ha. It’s on 16e channels too. Can’t remember if on 19.2.

Ahhh see it on 16 east but no surprise its not on 28e

Yeah I must of been seeing things. I was sure it was on 28e. Ha. Defo on 16e and 19e on selected channels. Would be game changer on 28e. Works fine as I have re-watched couple of toon games using it.

Does 28.2 seem as good as normal to most people? My Viark 4K has been superb for a couple of years, but last couple of weeks it frequently slips to "Scrambled channel" watching Sky Sports etc. Is it just me, or has it got worse for others? I frequently reboot but not bothered with a factory reset yet.

Anyone else getting constant stuttering on city game on 28e? Signal and quality high but just keeps freezing every min or so for like a second
