Death Penalty, yes or no

With modern DNA, technology, investigative forensics, should the death penalty be reinstated for premeditated murder? I am all in favour of just culling the scum that we saw sentenced yesterday for 52yrs. in the case of unquestionable evidence against someone who commits the acts we’ve seen over the last few years on the general populace just going about their daily lives It sickens me to think these people can wallow in comfy cells and bleat on about Human Rights.
