Channels gone

All my channels work fine in Preston. But my mate who lives 2 miles from me in preston, none of his channels work lol

Yes mate, tried a few times, although I'm not sure with Vix how you can tell if it is actually connected?

Yes I've tried this a few times, but I'm not clear if there is a way in VIX to see if the cam has connection. I can obviously see it restarting but is there a menu I can go to, to see if it says connected to ......?

Yes I tried that last night, said it had found channels, but all are just a black screen when selected?

I tried that last night as well, that's how I ran my scan I think, I'll have to check later.

if you have putty on your laptop then open it and connect to your box IP, log in with username root and no password

Now type

ping google.com

If your box gets a response as in the image below then it's connected to the internet

Hi, thank you for the reply, sorry I know its connected to the internet, what I meant was when you restart Mgcam, whether there is a way to confirm it has connected to the line?

depending on image sone writing appears in umbotton right when it starts recieving data telling you which server is connected

Press OK twice, server will show up in top infobar.

probably obvious, but make sure you're on a premium channel before checking if info is displayed. Nothing will appear on fta channels

I'm not seeing any server information when I press ok twice, second press just brings up a more detailed description from the EPG. Tonight I have checked my newcamd file is ok, tried creating a ccam file and starting ccam instead of mgcam, re-running autobouchet and checked my network setting all ok, and tried borrowing a working line, but still nothing. I know someone in Leicester who was having the same issue and his started working again today so is this a temporary issue?

All my channels were blank since yesterday - but I’ve just managed to get them working :-) - I just ran the autobouquetmaker and then changed softcam to Ccam (I have n line) - waited a couple seconds and the channels re-appeared. Not sure if this will work for everyone but nevertheless thought I would share it.

im having same issue on one box ive just upgraded . i think it is the mgcamd_1.38r1 that is the issue ive tried downloading earlier versions of mgcamd but wont let me do it . ive also downloaded the ipk file still will not show in softcam panel

did you put the ipk in temp folder usong ftp and install in local extensions

yes did all that . . . . think ive found the issue with why 1.38 doesnt work .... its seems what ever ipab and wooshbuild have done to stop the audio affects the cam/ecm file .
i just used all the back up folders from my other box that still has the audio issue . and used it on the newly flashed box and all was well, untill i did the audio fix ( red button etc)
