Apple TV

I use Tivimax on the Apple TV for IPTV think it was £20 for the lifetime sub.
Basically the same as Tivimate which i have on a Fire cube and chromecast.
Much prefer the clean interface of the Apple TV now especially with the better remote.

Do you find having more power from an Apple TV over a firestick for example improve playback and reduces buffering?

I'm not sure about Apple TV either, but it's good to know Video Lite works well on iPhone seeing as Android already has options.

I sold all my Firesticks and moved to AppleTV after the ADB debacle. Superb experience so far. Agreed on UHF as a good app and adding in a shout for Snappier IPTV. Testing at the moment, both have active development but feel Snappier shades it. Will probably go for Lifetime. Overall, won't be going back to Fire TV or Google TV!

I've moved to Apple TV and replaced the Fire shite from my network, to me the picture seems sharper and the sound is amazing with Dolby Atmos through soundbar system.
I used Tivimax as I was set up with Tivimate before and it's layout is similar.
I did hang on to the Shield to give myself options on main TV.

Really? They blow Shield and any android out of the water, I won't be going back to android.
You think Shield were overkill for IPTV these boxes are really overpowered especially the new 3rd generation
It can’t do full audio pass through so your statement is incorrect.
It may not be important to you but for others it is.
Also Android is open source iOS is not.
What can you do on iOS that you can’t do on android?
In regards to streaming

Don't really understand your pass through remark, I know my sound bar and rear speakers come to life with Dolby Atmos and is an upgrade to any Android box sound connected to the same system.
Also the box is lightning fast compared to any Android box ( based on Shield Pro)
It's simple to open foreign accounts and simple to download foreign apps without VPNs imo it's definitely an upgrade, I'm sure your set up will be perfect though!

I meant that the ATV can’t pass through codecs like True-HD ect
to a sound system like some android devices can.
It doesn’t support them correctly using its own hardware and software processing.
I would hope it’s faster than a shield they are five years old.

Everyone’s setup and needs are different but claiming ATV blows every android device out of the water is very unlikely because you would have had to extensively test them all in different scenarios.
It maybe for your setup but not for everyone else’s.

Not really going to answer you properly as I have ignored you, you can stick your android box up your Aristotle

That will be your issue and you are probably incapable of answering me from the look of your reply lol
I didn’t say anything offensive to you, just pointed out your claim was incorrect for certain users.

I second IPTVX. Also I hate when people are like “just switch to a shield.” As someone who uses both my shield and apple tv, they both have different uses. Nothing beats tivimate imo but IPTVX is better than all the other apps I used

I can confirm the Apple TV is hands down the best device on the market. Nothing comes close.

Is this a review and have you actually tested all the latest devices available?
I’ve got/had my fair share, currently got cube 3rd gen, Nvidia shield, google streamer, formula z11 pro and the 4K Apple TV, which smokes the lot every day of the week and twice on Sundays in terms of performance.

But it still can’t do full audio pass through and has limited apps available.
You don’t need over powered device for streaming it’s overkill.
I would rather have open source OS, full codec support, customisation and pass through.
That’s not important to you because you probably just use official apps.
So that device fits your needs and wouldn’t fit many other people’s needs.
That’s why Android devices are more popular.
