Ferret yes octagon from what I have read great devices but all I seem to read is nothing but problems latest one perhaps just owners buying wrong memory cardGigablue UE
Is this better than one of those Viark or GTMedia boxes? I heard they clear SD channels (not sure if it requires a subscription)?Hard to beat the octagon Would try the supreme version
OCTAGON SF8008 SUPREME TWIN 4K UHD 2x DVB-S2X - PRE-SETUP FOR FREESAT UK
Mine is playing up and pressing up down buttons randomly which is still happening after removing batteries from remote making me believe this is a box problem. I wonder if Viark or GT Media a reasonable substitute based on what I heard that it clears some SD Channels ? viark and gtmedia are totally different you cannot compair to e2 devices , not normal what you would be used to say openatv , vix and others they will clear sly hd channels.Mine is playing up and pressing up down buttons randomly which is still happening after removing batteries from remote making me believe this is a box problem. Stick to the Original 8008 the later ones have poor tuners also compared to the original.Ferret yes octagon from what I have read great devices but all I seem to read is nothing but problems latest one perhaps just owners buying wrong memory card
E2 boxes wont be clearing SD for much longer, some already gone.Is this better than one of those Viark or GTMedia boxes? I heard they clear SD channels (not sure if it requires a subscription)?
I was debating on getting a viark just for 28.2 possibly a few more years left until the sat becomes to end of life unless they’re move another satellite into place personally i think it’s a bad idea for sky to end transmission over satellite and go down the streaming route but i suppose it’s the future of all things to comeE2 boxes wont be clearing SD for much longer, some already gone.
Nothing beats the Viarks in terms of what they open.
Yes perhaps for sly in an ideal world if everyone has decent internet connection I know some older friends who have went with sly glass not really there choice but familly members thinking it would be easier , nothing but problems on a basic internet package not fibre at least with satellite or even terrestrial (aerial) you can at least still watch basic channels rather than nothingI was debating on getting a viark just for 28.2 possibly a few more years left until the sat becomes to end of life unless they’re move another satellite into place personally i think it’s a bad idea for sky to end transmission over satellite and go down the streaming route but i suppose it’s the future of all things to come
Exactly’ i hope freesat/freeview don’t go down the same path’ freely sounds like it’s going to replace them from what i was reading the other dayYes perhaps for sly in an ideal world if everyone has decent internet connection I know some older friends who have went with sly glass not really there choice but familly members thinking it would be easier , nothing but problems on a basic internet package not fibre at least with satellite or even terrestrial (aerial) you can at least still watch basic channels rather than nothing
Will viark play IPTV using Xstreamity etc? Can you suggest some models? Do we need a line for Viarks to clear SD?E2 boxes wont be clearing SD for much longer, some already gone.

No it has its own app but i would not use it chances are it would be restreamed. Viarks clear some SD but most HD. They have there own IPTV with the sub, its not the best. Will viark play IPTV using Xstreamity etc? Can you suggest some models? Do we need a line for Viarks to clear SD?
Thanks That explains a lot! Can you suggest some decent models? No it has its own app but i would not use it chances are it would be restreamed. Viarks clear some SD but most HD. They have there own IPTV with the sub, its not the best.
Viarks come complete with sub 3 years that is activated with PT firmware then if you want 28e you convert to SP for free but that reduces your sub to 2 years.
Viark Sat and Sat 4kThanks That explains a lot! Can you suggest some decent models?
Probably to go with the cheap HD tv market that still exists. No 4k, what an odd move.
