Guide A guide to the best boxes for IPTV 2021

It’s not a selling point my tv auto upscale a to 4k but not everyone will pay out for a new tv that upscales but would pay out for a box that does.
You win all your devices in the raffle lucky boy (y) You buy the most tickets for a good cause deserve to win.

I suspect most HDMI 2.1 sets folk bought for Ps5 new Xbox will be fine.

I actually own a shield now exchanged a Viark for it. Im regretting it my TV does Prime and Netflix in 4k im not a gamer its no quicker than android boxes i use. I will probably pass it on to a grandkid at some point to play a few games on.

Get a grip of things ferret back in the day it was motorbikes not gaming devices.

Similarly , I have 2x shields plus a few fire sticks. Couple of weeks ago I bought the box in the pic , on FB market place ,4gb ram , gigbit ethernet , usb 3 etc . Pre owned cost me £20 to mess about with.
I don't use netflix or any of the mainstream services so don't need widevine.
I unplugged a shield set this up and its been going for 2 weeks , runs that sweetly I haven't bothered plugging the shield back in.
Plex, IPTV, Youtube . Bluetooth remote is super responsive.
I've had loads of different boxes over the years , so I do know most of these cheap chinese things are crap. But get the right ones and you can save a fortune.0.jpg

If you ever get that chance, get one with a Amlogic S905x4 4/64 stick a Slingbox AndroidTV rom on it.

Youll be impressed !

The main thing I have found with IPTV is that it is nearly always the supplier at fault and not the box you use. I have a cupboard full of android boxes I have tried over the years but always end up going back to E2 boxes as I just don't like Android operating system with all the updates that suck up your memory, and not to mention the relentless ads you get now .Sly tv is the same now,the adverts are longer than the programs lol. I mainly used android to run Kodi and it was fine for that but now e2 boxes also run kodi . I had a vu+duo 2 from the card sharing days which gave me years of issue free tv sat and IPTV but due to it not supporting the newer H264 streams I replaced it with a vu+duo 4k which handles everything like a dream. I also have a gigablue uhd ue 4k in another room which I have to say I am very impressed with. They are not the cheapest boxes but look at all the money you are saving not paying Sly prices, surely it's worth spending money on a decent box that will last you for years.I know suppliers love the cheaper android boxes as they can just install an app and sell them like hot cakes to all the technophobes out there.

Top spec E2 boxes if used on satellite and Iptv are by a long mile superior to any android device. Only thing i am not a fan of is kodi the android win hands down on that.

Love to know any more info on your setup if you don’t mind, we just dumped Virgin & looking for a good PVR TV box, mostly for mainstream TV stuff in HD/4k , we have on demand stuff via our smart TV. But overwhelmed with so much choice for a freeview/freesat box! I’ve read so many of them have some serious issues. I have a Sky dish with a quad LNB so I thought a decent sat box might be the way to go but seems Android streaming boxes are super popular so wondering is Satellite still a good choice... I’ve been looking at VU+ 4k Se , with Openvix, dunno if I need duo or solo. I tried IPTV once but it was hopeless, love to get a decent setup but unsure if this is the right thing or not. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
