Same with those who moan about the layout of the home screen on FS and Shields, it takes literally a couple of seconds to open up your iptv app yet people act like it's a massive problem and some even install launchers to avoid a screen full of adverts. Then they start watching TV shows that are regularly interrupted by a screen full of adverts.

Am one of those hahaha, thats the fascination I and others have for kodi , you can make a screen look exactly how you want. I have Z10 pro and mytvonline app works perfectly , but to look at for me its crap , same with IMPlayer , I just hated the look of it when I had it. So am arsing about setting up my own tv guide look on kodi so I can replicate the sly/sat ones i used to use on enigma2. Did it years ago and foolishly didn't save all my files , so have to start again , will take a couple of days and just to annoy people will post a screenshot of the finished product :laughing:
 
Not bothered how epg looks myself. More about the built in functions of app. Even some of that may not apply to all people

I like

Could you expand on that last bit please Mike ? Link to plex from within app ?
 
Well for e.g with IMPLAYER you can link your plex account within app and all the plex content will show in IMPLAYER.

Some other apps are supplier dependent with a built in plex button and you can easily move between plex and your IPTV

Ahh yes i remember now. Frustratingly that option never worked for me. Even with my own server set via plex or local. I remember contacting the dev to report it but was told it was at the time only a "beta" option . maybe that has been rectified now.

Its been working for over a year buddy
 
So what people are saying that if the box is good that it has a good processor, it's fine too get? It's just I don't know what box to get

To be honest mate my take is this.

If you like mytvonline app. You buy a formuler box. That would be probably the only reason.

Something like a firestick/chromestick is more than capeable of dealing with IPTV.

The best device although some will say its overkill is still the sheild. They still even support there 2017 version with regulaur updates.

The tube version is more than enough to handle iptv and is cheaper than the latest formuler or buzz offering which both run on a mobile version of android in the background.The sheild is a pure TV android box
