Zgemma H5 no satellite after replacing quad lnb.(Astra2 + ROI based)

Hello All,
Can you experts help?

I have a Zgemma H5 and the lnb got damaged during the storm. I got a local technician to come and replace the quad lnb while i was in work and all was done and photos sent and signal showed as coming in (astra 2) but when i got home the channels were still gone. Ive no signal showing for satellite at all but saorview is all perfect and its split down the same cable so there cant be any cable damage?

Ive done multiple scans now and still nothing at all. Ive tried 2 other zgemma boxes also and nothing on them either. The small crappy sat receiver in the bedroom is working so the dish and lnb should be sound.

Can anyone think of something that i am missing here?

TIA

I have tried the bedroom receiver in the front room and it doesnt work so I dont know what it could be? I can only assume he forgot t connect something?

We know there is signal in the bedroom. Try the other receivers in the working location ( bedroom). Upload pictures of the LNB, maybe he forgot to connect the wires as you suspect. Hopefully, he did not use a quattro LNB.

LNB attached below. He will be coming back to remedy the situation this week but I thought if it was something simple I could save the man a trip. I've no way to access the roof though.

That picture isn't clear enough.

You can check the tuners are working by testing the receivers in the bedroom. You said the old receiver was working there.

I've tried the downstairs receiver (H5) in the bedroom and it works so I suspect a cable was missed when he replaced the LNB. Does that sound plausible?

Yes plausible or damaged, can you not take a picture from underneath to see how many cables are connected to the LNB ?

Have you checked the f-plugs on cable in sitting room? If it is not on properly, you won't get signal.

You haven't said how you are checking signal. If you use signal finder, check vertical, horizontal, high and low transponders. A manual scan of 28.2 (not just one transponder) should get over 700 channels.

I've done a complete scan and nothing is coming in at all. I'm testing signal strength from the signal finder section on the zgemma. When I plug it j upstairs I'm getting good signal on the main sat receiver so it's an issue localised downstairs in the front room.

Just an update. The engineer came out.
Issue seemed to be the cable running to sitting room. It was receiving no power. Terrestrial was fine.

He replaced the cable and we got the channels all back again.

Thanks to all who offered suggestions.

Can I ask one more question of you all... I'm using the zgemma H5 as my main receiver for sat and saorview but is there a better one that will not cost me an arm and a leg to purchase? Engineer recommend a H8H but I'm reading poor reviews online.

That box is fine if only using it for satellite and soarview. If using it for Ipee i would look at an upgrade.
