oh right, don't know who told me that then, but I think I had an error when I tried to convert, would that be because the swap file is active and it cant format if the swap file is hot?
 
Yes you need to disable swapfile and timeshift if in use to be honest I don't think the swapfile is needed on the newer H. Models I haven't been using it on my h2h for the last few months and it's still running fast

i tried to flash your openatv 5.1 nightly and it dont flash ???

press blue on remote
flash online/local
press green button
select latest H2S Nightly Build
openatv-5.1-zgemmah2s-night-160525.zip

do you have a link to this instead of flashing through box ?
 
Having to redo flash of new update for 3rd time, got epg working but now shows ninja warrior as a show on every channel for epg

Rly confused on what's caused this, running setup again.. Any advice on next step? Shall I run cross epg first and leave auto boquets? As that seems to be messing it up for me

The nightly is, well was, there for anyone who wanted to do a factory reset type flash putting the box back to the day they bought it. Since OpenATV 5.1 is not longer being updated that is the reason the nightly doesn't work.

If you were trying to flash WooshBuild you needed to select WooshBuild v3.03 for your box.

If you still want the nightly goto Updates Zgemma Star Series - Index of: home/, click OpenATV and then select your box. Download the latest nightly from there.

Support for OpenATV nightly flashing is not supported by this thread.

Follow the instructions, make sure you are using the right image for your box, use a different USB for your recordings etc. Don't restore your settings. If you have a corrupt EPG.dat file, no matter what you do, if you restore settings it will bring back your EPG corruption and all.

Start from fresh and try.
 
whats the best option then? I am not restoring any settings just flashing and not restoring anything as no line currently and not worried about plugins. Whats best way to start again etc? Thanks
 
I would go for a complete basebuild setup starting from scratch. This way you can initialise your USB again, create your swap and then flash a fresh copy.

You can do the initialise from your current setup but have to turn off the swap file and timeshift. Up to you which you want to do.

yeah i have wooshbuild v3.03 already installed
i posted a post here over a week ago with a screenshot of the problem but it has been deleted ?? why was that ??
there is a square appearing on the menu and it appears on iptv player, and other apps on the menu too. this pops up on the top left corner, the box comes really laggy and remote down button stops working ?
thats why i requested openatv 5.1 to see whats happening with the box.
 
I try to down load but get the following Violation Message = arthog, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
 
You need to have a post count of 1 and have your status changed. Tty going into the introductions section and make a post introducing yourself :)

click on forum, in the middle of the page there is an option for sat/dvb/iptv ok on this, start a new thread in the relevant section OR add some info which could useful on the threads already started, hope this helps
 
I really am getting annoyed with this box and image, latest wooshbuild and every time I try to record a program the box freezes and I get the spinning blue circle and have to restart the box

Grrr what can the problem be, I'm using a stand alone hdd for recording and timeshift it records great but if I don't exit back to the picture quickly after setting a record it freezes

im getting no image on step 4 to download
new to this so not sure if i have done anything wrong ?

*fixed* i had the ethernet from the box to the tv instead of the router lol
