Wooshbuild Support Thread

Hi

I have re-flashed again just now (and done the updates) and now I can see the line in USB cam importer (V3.03) and go through the process of Importing the Line from USB stick.

When I select mgcamd_1.38r1 and click ok I get "No New ECM info" so it doesnt look like it is on there?

I have tried restarting the Cam but still no joy.

any ideas please?

OK lets go from the start.

You inserted your USB stick and started the USB Cam importer
Selected the top option - import or view contents of a line
Cam importer showed your currently attached devices and you selected the one your line is on.
You then see the lines available on that device. When you highlight the line you want to use, press the green button to view it's contents and make sure it is the right line. Then press red to close
Press OK and it will import your line and start the required cam. It changes to a paid channel.

What do you get?

I don't see why you selected mgcamd_1.xxxx as this is in the softcam panel and not the cam importer.

Black screen

I thought you had to select the cam which corresponds to your file?
 
And the contents of the line when viewed were what you expected?

When in softcam panel, Select cam 1 says what please?

Use dream explorer and navigate to usr/keys - is your line in that folder please?

Nobody get me wrong, I am not perfect by any means and I do miss things so I am not saying anyone is wrong and I am right. I just need to try and find here these problems lie to make things work or easier to use.

Yes they were. mgcamd_1.38r1. 'No New ECM info'.
Yes the line is there.
 
Is the wrong answer lol.

OK, please can you send your line details to makido in a PM so they can test your line please. I am not in a position to test it.

@ihuntchub So you are 100% happy that the line in the /usr/keys folder is the line you need to use and the one that was copied from the USB stick?
Also, what USB name is given to the usb by the cam importer please?

And you have tried to restart the cam fro the softcam panel using the green button??

Sorry to jump on this thread, but I would like to know how you go about finding out if your line is active. We have no premium channels at the mo, the screen is blank (Black). I have checked the softcam and it said mgcamd_1.38r1. 'No New ECM info'. Does that mean the line is active? I have also noticed that the percentage of SNR is at most 45-50% on premium channels, would this have anything to do with it? Any help greatly appreciated, very new to all of this.
 
From my personal experience, I don't believe that there is a problem with V6. I backed up my settings, updated from V5 to V6 and restored settings. My line was then present and I have rebooted a couple of times since and the line has remained in place.

It does however seem strange that so many people are having line issues.

Ok so solution solved.

It was originally the Cam importer not seeing the USB stick and after that I could not get the line to work because of there being some code in the Line that was not needed.

With the Line amended there was no problem.

You haven't said what steps you have taken to try and add your line to the box? Of if you have contacted your provider to make sure there are no server issues.

So far lines which have not worked have either been an issue with the line server or a badly formatted line.
 
The best advice I can give to anyone flashing today is once you have flashed WB6, do the software updates so you have the new cam importer.
Blue button -> Software updates -> Green button - then restart the box when it asks.

Then try importing you line.

basically its easy download basbuild from the wooshbuild site http://www.wooshbuild.co.uk/. put basebuild on to a usb stick.unplug all your usb or HDD devices. Power off box then plug the usb with basebuild in to the front or rear usb port.power on box by white switch on the back.....the fron display should then say FLSH.After that just follow the easy instructions and you'll be up and running in 15 mins.
 
Just be sure you have a copy of your line before you flash. Then just follow the on screen instructions after the flash and you put your usb in for recording, it will ask if you want to wipe your hdd just say no to this, If you have recordings on it that you want to keep
