What's wrong with England Euros

If we lose the final i think its 50/50 if Southgate stays.
If we win he might say that's enough and go out on a high.
Not his biggest fan and he seems to get results more by the luck than judgment but sometimes its better to be lucky than good :).

Not a great surprise, Took the team as far as he could.
Will be interesting to see if the new manager can get anymore out of these players or are they just not as good as everyone keeps telling us.

If only he was a bit shrewder he could have won at least one euro. There are things I cant fathom when watching England and I keep telling myself what I would do if in charge. 1. Tell Pickford that is it not a good idea to kick the ball as far as possible everytime you get it. 2. Never let him take a free kick. 3. When you get a throw in near the penalty area throw the ball into the penalty area and not 40 yards backwards so it ends up with a keeper who can be guaranteed to leather it out of play. I could go on but one last one , 3. At kick off why play the ball back to the keeper who leathers upfield, to who?? not Harry.

The mistakes made by England were park football stuff. All the new manager has to do is show them the video of that game against spain and say " Cut out this shit and you will win something":ROFLMAO:

Well he's gone and tbh thank God. If coming runners up is classed as been a successful team then we have a bigger problem on our hands right now. For me we had too many so called world class players who under simply didn't perform. Regardless of tactics you cant hide from simply putting a shift in and been brave on the ball. Rice ?, a £100 million for a player who cant pass a ball forward. One thing I did notice in one of the latter games was Kyle Walker. He slowly walks with the ball under no pressure to within 5 yards of Mainoo then he annoyingly gestures to Mainoo to come to him to receive it. I'm not sure how close he wanted him then he gives it to Stones. He did this a few times and you could clearly see the frustration in Mainoo. That's the sign of a player who simply hasn't got the bolloks to take it on no more.

Kane selfishly played with a debilitating back injury that stopped him in his tracks. Any unselfish player would look and say look I'm not right or, the manager says your not right but desperate for a place on the pitch and a medal basically took over and he ended up looking like a spare prick at a wedding. Bellingham for the last 2 months at Madrid stunk the place out he was awful to the point of, every Spanish commentator and the press picked up on it. For the best part of the tournament Bellingham was shocking even in the CL final he was well below par. In the final yes he laid on Palmers goal but for the other 90odd minutes he was awful, to win it you need to be full on for 90 minutes. The problem with Bellingham is, he thinks he's Superman and that other players can't do what he does so he bombs it round like a headless chicken till his legs go the arm waves Bruno style. He put little faith in his team m8's and he turned into Bruno Fernandes arm waving again in the tournament and dummy spitting which isn't for me captain material in the least.

Southgate was scared of the backlash if he dropped his captain or the superstar midfield pairing in fear of the blacklash but the signs were there to see, players carrying knocks or shattered and not playing well and no rotation was our downfall. Bellingham's first words on the pitch after the Dutch game was "I couldn't have done another 30 minutes, I'm shattered" ( or words to that affect) .
Our left side was non existent through most of the Euro's while an in form Gordon sat twiddling his thumbs. Someone put up a stat showing minutes played by all the players and Southgate's favourites were all at the top of the list hence why we failed. In 28 days we played 7 games and the overuse of teachers pets players showed in the final Walker getting turned over. Martinez suffered similar refusing to drop an over the hill Ronaldo which for me cost them dearly. He was like a kid in the playground taking all the freekicks then when he laid on one for Bruno to tap in it was later pointed out Ronaldo was after the most assist record nothing to do with putting his country through. Then there was the missed pen which showed you he's not the player he was.

Rice did an interview on Wharton saying "He's unreal in training, passes are unreal both feet, very cool unbelievable player" but, he then went on to say "But he young its his first tournament" so on and so on..... Now for me that the old British apprenticeship mentality shining on through like, your here to watch the big boys probably next time hey pal. If Yamal and Williams were English they'd have watched the Euro's from some Bermuda Hotel, there's no way Southgate would have even considered a 16 year old.

Wasn't it Lippi who once dropped Del Piero for the World Cup Final saying "The best players don't necessarily make the best team". Southgate wasn't strong enough to make those decisions crucial decisions leaving big players out when their not playing well. The great managers of the past say the likes of Sir Alf Ramsey (dropped Greaves in 66) to Fergie getting rid of players in their prime and Mourinho and Pep both serial winners and throw Lippi in as well make those "Live by the sword" cut throat decisions and normally their right. Sadly Southgate is way way way off that mark. His caring loving nature wins you nothing the harsh reality is,

he played not to lost but never to win

Get the impression you don't like Pickford, if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have got past Switzerland. Yeah he does play a few too many long balls , however did you see us try and play out from the back with any kind of cohesion , kept losing it before we got to the half way line .

He also did start the build up to the Palmer goal with the quick throw into midfield to

As for Southgate he has a way of playing without the ball , etc and in the early days of Henderson etc maybe that suited his game plan , he made a massive play of not having Philips available , but the players in the squad should have been more front footed .

Some how managed to drag Ronaldo and bruno into your rant lol

Pickford played well but I'm not a fan that's just me. The modern keeper needs more strings to his bow than just making saves. Pickford ended up just booting it up field to a static Kane.

Ronaldo's crying after the missed pen proved his times over similar to kane times up that's why I made the comparison.

Bellingham after the game was very disappointing. It reminded me like a under13's player on a Sunday kicking stuff around and ranting. Yes be disappointed but to act like that future England captain ? definitely not.

What we need is a manager who doesn't necessarily pick the best players. I heard Potter is favourite i have to agree
