What's people's view on going from BT full fibre to Virgin for performance for eyepeetv..

My BT gig speeds is £65 a month i can get a better deal with virgin .
I also use my own router i hear virgin have a box ? Is that correct

Every areas different so best ask local residents how the networks around your area.

Good idea to use your own router. VM router is awful, often drops out of sync and WiFi range is non existent, forever having problems.

Was more about the blocking etc mate ...I'm not going to start going on about using it around me local 🤣🤣🤣

You mentioned 'in terms of blocking' hence why I suggested VPN.

Wow that's decent ....is there anything you have to use in between you router and the incoming connection

@hkphooey The only thing I can complain about vm is that they blocked certain sites and are known for blocking some iptv services.
So you may need to use a vpn for certain content.
I haven’t had any issues with Vodafone fibre that I had with VM.

Ahhhh right that would do my head in i have a vpn...but don't want to have to fart about with that.
I'm looking a ee (Bt) 1.6gig same as I'm paying fpr 900mb see if I can get a deal

I am not saying you would encounter blocks but I did and vm are known for it.
I also suppose it’s not difficult to just enable a vpn.
It’s just worth considering.

Anybody who moves to Virgin needs their head examined. I couldn't wait to leave when full fibre was finally available to me. Loss of service several times a year!

Yes I'm defo not bothering sticking to BT...but want the faster 1.6 gig speed currently on 1 gig

Bigger is better 😂😂 why does anyone lol.
I have 4 sons myself and wife the broadband gets hammered day and night lol gaming streaming etc.

I guarantee you won't notice any difference at all at those sort of speeds.
