Community fibre 3gbs BB question

Just had community fibre BB installed last week, wondering if others on forum have experience with them. I’m good decent WiFi speeds (800mb download and upload) using my laptop which has a WiFi 6e network card.

However I bought a couple of 2.5gbe usb c to Ethernet adaptors and am getting around (1.5gbs download and 2.3gbs upload) I would have expected a higher download speed, anyone have here able to get full 3gbs download using wired connection?

Your speeds sound solid but for full 3Gbps on Community Fibre make sure your cables are Cat6a or higher and check if your router and adapters support 3Gbps throughput.

Thanks for the reply, yea I should mentioned I’m using cat8 cable and plugged in directly to the router supplied by community fibre it’s marked as 10g and was told by installers I should be able to get full download speeds on this.

I didn’t have the adapter at the time of installation so that’s why I am posting here to see if anyone can suggest things to try before trying to get support from community fibre?
