Is using IPTV on a viark safe, I read somewhere not to use IPTV on the viark (logon details can be hacked etc)

I've literally never bothered with it since I got SP2 cos it never showed any UK channels for me.

Also, I bought one of those goobay master/slave switches a couple years back.

What's the likelyhood of them becoming faulty over time?

I tested it out earlier with just the slave port connected but I wasn't getting any signal on my E2 box.

Or do both ports need connecting even if the box on the master port is turned off completely from the mains?

If you have IPTV then its SP2 if not your SP1

On the IPTV in the Menu states the sub expired 12/2023 (so I have SP1) even though all the SLY UK channels work.

Yeah I think mine is definitely broken.

Have turned the Viark off into standby which is on the master socket but my Vu can't detect the satellite via the slave.

Will have to order one off Amazon again

Have u up date the channel list ...... because the 1st time I did it I offered to go in to installation and change the lnb type to universal?

My Viark box is working fine when connected to the motorised dish.

My issue is the priority switch itself which I think may be broken as it's not letting my e2 box control the motor when the Viark box is off.

Not on Viarks in fact with most Forever type boxes VIP is not possible.

The only box i know it is possible on is the GTMedia Combo.

Im not 100% sure with the GTX i dont have one With the Combo i clear those channels. Speak to a VIP supplier im sure they will know.

My supplier activated IPTV (not very good) how easy is it to install a different IPTV onto the box (Viark Sat 4K, Software 1.21 (1 73 1:2 13) without messing up the other non IPTV channels?
