When you buy you need to send the serial number of the receiver, (Menu - Settings - About STB) & leave it switched on, then follow the sellers instructions.

They need your serial number yes.

What box do you have & is it new.
The "Starsat 2000HD Extreme T13" is f*****r server

if the box is new it should have 15 months server.

When I update the firmware, is there an option on the menu to update it from the usb or will I need to force it somehow, and will any usb drive do or are there specific sizes and brands?

Finally, do I need to reset it to factory settings first or can I just go ahead and update the firmware?

Just being extra careful as I don't want to brick it on day one.

They take a USB stick of any size in NTFS, FAT and all you do is go into the USB section and down the left you will see several options, one of which is firmware or software, cant remember which and then you select the 1.04 bin file and update

Sky Sports Main Event and Premier League seem to be down this morning, not showing in yellow and although PL clears for a few seconds it soon freezes

Just an update I did a renew via fleabay but tried now and wont connect. Done all the usual but no joy. It actually expired jan 2021. I have gone back to seller but maybe I am missing the obivious. Box is since 2018.

Ask your fleabay provider to verify the user and password.
If it expired 2 months ago it may have deleted from the server

8th Jan 2021. Thats a nifty box and I am only getting to know it. How do I use the bits, cccam, ms, etc. I should add ip still works on sstv.

Its quite a while since I set it up and all I did was scan sats, plug in cable and it just worked!! It was for afn I got it and the other bits were extras.

So it is still showing expired after buying the sub then. Back on to the seller.

Yes gone back to seller but just checking here in case I did an elementary error. As I said know sod all about box and did not realise I could access a few bits. I do get an onscreen message to go to renew etc but I used the link above.

What Viark box do you have again ?

I have Viark Sat 4k

I got a guide from another website thanks to Drbox.
This guide works perfectly as you have to use a particular key combination to save the channel list. Do not save the channel list by using -- Menu— channels—-user channels list—— save user data -- this is not the right way to do it.

I know mate the way to do it is

Menu-Net and Games-Usb

Now here is the important bit.

Press The Sat button once and then key in 1113 it should then let you select a name then press blue key to upload list.

This is the correct way dont use the yellow button or list size is massive and it wont be editable.

Still crashes for me.

been testing S Sport Turkey and freezing again, ok atm, still testing

Checked, only 5-6 SD Asian channels open with TCM movies SD. No other channels open right now.

tcm movies is hardly watchable
