Viark Using Viark as slave to Enigma2 Motorised System?

Ok kool

Out of curiosity what is the delay between the light being on when you are watching to when you put shutdown or put your receiver to stanby?

I know its prob a question nobody would prob know but would be nice to know.
Again anyone know of the delay from receiver on standby to picture showing for when the motor receives power?

My GT media when I hit the power off on the remote button, even with standby on in the settings, it has to reboot anyway, so wether it's full off power , it takes the same time to boot up.

Hi
I have now got my Viark, Goobay priority switch and a Technomate A/B diseqc switch and connected it up as per my diagram as posted previously. Unfortunately the VU+ always supplies power to the LNB unless you put it into 'deep standby'. Doing this means a long wait while the when you switch the VU+ back ON as it has to boot up. I have now changed the wiring configuration so that the Viark is now the 'Master' and the VU+ is the 'Slave' - this seems to be a better option. In the Installation menu I have set all the 'motorised' satellites to DiSEqC 1.0 - LNB 1 and Motor to USALS. For the SKy dish I have set DiSEqC 1.0 - LNB2 and Motor to None.
HI Mate

I have just read your post again. So with the configuration that you have said above, can you control the motor on the VIARK receiver if your VU+ is just in regular standby mode? If so, does it mean has to be standby or just not active on the tuner that actually runs of the motor?

Hope you understand what i meant. also what image were you running on your vu+

I'm guessing deep standby not just standby but even in deep standby sometimes the lnb can be powered.

Yh but he said by switching the vu into the slave port it seemed to fix the issue he had before where the vu kept the motor on unless in deep standby.
So I'm assuming when he switched it then the motor turns off in regular standby but just wanted him to confirm if that's the case and which image he was using?

Splitters and switches all loose you signal strength, not good for satellites that may already be a fringe satellite to you.
Interesting you say that.
Would that indicate that using the goobay switch could possibly cause some of the signal to weaken as a result.
Now someone mentioned that you can also control the motor on second receiver using the loop out method on the primary tuner. I wonder if this method will work better than the switch method.

Something to think about i guess

You'll loose a small amount of signal looping out to another box looses in the second tuner, irrelevant unless one of your boxes has a tuner with a loopout
