Triax multiblock lnb holder

Quick question guys. With having my dish focused on 16e should my lnbs for 19.2 and 23.5 be skewed the oppo way? Sorry if silly question.

On multi lnb setup you skew for the best signal.

• 19°E: Skew of +3°
• 23.5°E: Skew of +7°
• to the right of 16e

as a starting point

When using a satellite meter you would be
Surprised how much the correct skew angle
Increases the s.n.r

From my first post I was trying setting up multi lnb's on a Triax multiblock lnb holder. Hoping to receive signal from 13e, 16e and 19.2e. On a Technomate 80cm dish

I always struggled to get a decent signal on 16e and if I did I would lose signal on 13e.

As I have not really got the Triax multiblock lnb holder working.

I was wondering if it is because the lnb,s sit higher above the lnb arm.
I believe this has an effect, causing the lnb to point higher.

When I modified lnb height to the same as the lnb holder that came with the dish all signals improved.

As shown on the pictures the difference in high marked on the set square on the dish arm

Examples

Picture 1 lnb holder on the dish arm. That came with the Technomate dish

Picture 2 lnb on traix multiblock lnb holder on dish arm.

16 east was impossible on all my multi lnb setups due to my location. The tilt angle is determined by how level your installation is

I was able to get signal on 16e with a single lnb holder and a Gibertini multifeed holder and brackets I made, but not the Triax multiblock holder.

The difference seems to be the lnb sat lower to the lnb arm as seen in the pictures of my other post.

Try using the original lnb holder on the dish, then using the multiblock, to hold the other lnb's (remove the centre block and instead use 1 of the muliblock lnb holders on the main lnb to hold it).
