I've had tivimate on my phone for a while , well when I had a yrs sub , but the premium features didn't work , do they work now?

Yeah I guess it will work but as stated on the website:

The app is intended for Android TV devices and is not optimized for phones and tablets.

I settled on iMPlayer Mobile as they have a specific version designed for mobile and Tivimate on the firestick.

just installed it for a play and i really wouldn't bother, deleted it straight away, hard to navigate and epg didn't work for me!

I have Smarters on phone, quick and responsive.
Tivimate on Stick innit

For mobile phone, I prefer iMPlayer and Televizio since they optimize for mobile devices

I think I preferred the Televizio layout but picture in picture is a premium feature but free on iMPlayer which is how my choice was made.

Tivi does it fine, just wondered if any others did too apart from stbemu :)
